Attempts to Limit Iran’s Power Backfire: IRGC General

The hostile plots to place constraints on Iran’s military programs would encourage the Armed Forces to enhance their capabilities, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force said.

Addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh made it clear to the enemies that their hostile plots to limit Iran’s defense power would have opposite outcome.

Hailing a triple rise in the production of military equipment, the commander said all political officials and the parliament are now serious to help boost the country’s defense capabilities.

The general further took a swipe at the enemies for expanding their military stockpiles, while they brand Iran’s defense missiles as weapons of mass destruction.

He finally cautioned against the enemy’s plot to disrupt the national unity in Iran.

In comments in October 2017, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei categorically rejected the idea of negotiations on Iran’s defense power, stressing that the country will press ahead with the plans to boost its might and build up its defense capabilities.

“As we have announced several times in the past and announce it once again, the country’s defense capabilities and power are not subject to negotiations and bargaining,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a graduation ceremony of Army cadets at the time.
