Bahrain Crackdown: Jaw Prison Detainees Poisoned with Rotten Iftar Meals

Bahraini local sources reported that a huge number of detainees in notorious Jaw Prison were food-poisoned on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 because of rotten iftar [breakfast after fasting the whole day during the month of Ramadan] meals served by the prison’s administration.

The sources further added that the detainees in buildings 12, 13, 14 suffered from stomach pain and diarrhea, some of which were transferred to hospitals while many others are still behind bars, with their families concerned about their health situations.

It is worth noting that the Bahraini regime continues to practice violations against opinion prisoners in Bahrain, ignoring the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan.
