Hujjat al-Islam Saeedi, a highly respected teach of the Islamic seminary, in a sitting with Lebanese officials in the Holy Shrine of Lady Ma’sumah (s), spoke about the threats facing the Islamic world currently and the relationship between the Islamic Republic and the Islamic resistance in Lebanon.
The respected scholar stated: “Today we are witness to two dangerous movements; the Zionists and the takfiris who are bent on the destruction of Islam, one in the name of the promotion of Islam and the other in the name of opposing Islam. They are both edges of the same scissor.”
Hujjat al-Islam Saeedi explained the role of the Islamic resistance in propagating Islam through its struggle against both these movements. He said: “We are hopeful that this blessed movement, under the protection of the Islamic Republic, is able to introduce the reality of Islam to the world.”
“The enemies are hopeful that the movement of the Islamic resistance and the movement of the Islamic Republic are separated.”
The respected scholar emphasised that it is because of religious teachings that the Islamic Republic helps the faithful such as Hizbullah and all other movements fighting against the arrogant powers. He stressed that in no way is this support just a strategic move, rather, it is founded on religious principles.
The Friday prayer leader of the Holy city of Qum spoke further about the role of religion in the ties between the two movements. He explained: “The most significant force that cooperates with the Islamic Republic is Hizbullah, and we are hopeful that through this cooperation, not only will we be able to resist the greed of the arrogant powers, but we will also be able prepare the grounds for the return of the Imam of our time.”
Hujjat al-Islam Saeedi finished this segment of his meeting by expressing the need to reinforce further the relationship between the two movements. He concluded: We must strengthen and protect the factors which led to the convergence between us and other groups aligned with us, furthermore, we must protect ourselves by being aware of the harms that the enemy is trying to cause through its propaganda and infiltration.
