ISIL militants execute Iraqi government forces

Newly-released video footage shows ISIL Takfiri terrorists executing Iraqi government forces in the country’s north.

The new video released by the terrorist group shows the gruesome massacre of Iraqi army cadets, which was carried out in the northern province of Salahuddin in June.

The footage shows the Takfiri terrorists forcing scores of young Iraqi army cadets, in both plainclothes and army uniforms, to lie down in several ditches before summarily executing them.

The Takfiri militants in mid-June uploaded photos of what they claimed to be the bodies of dozens of Iraqi security forces whom they had executed in the city of Tikrit.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in statement on June 26 that the analysis of the photographs and satellite imagery strongly indicates that the militant group “conducted mass executions in Tikrit after seizing control of the city on June 11, 2014.”

Peter Bouckaert, the emergencies director of the HRW, said, “The photos and satellite images from Tikrit provide strong evidence of a horrible war crime that needs further investigation.”

Bouckaert also said the ISIL “is committing mass murder, and advertising it as well,” and warned them that “the eyes of Iraqis and the world are watching.

The crisis in Iraq escalated after the ISIL terrorists took control of Mosul on June 10, which was followed by the takeover of Tikrit, located 140 kilometers (87 miles) northwest of the capital, Baghdad.

The Iraqi army, backed by tribal forces and volunteers, has been engaged in heavy fighting with the militants on different fronts and has so far been able to push back militants in several areas, including in Tikrit.
