Pakistani Envoy Hails Holding of Tehran Quran Expo  

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Riffat Masood hailed the Tehran International Quran Exhibition as an important event for all Muslims.

 

Addressing the opening ceremony of the expo’s international section on Monday evening, she said mounting such an exhibition is even more important given the political, economic, social and cultural pressures on the Muslim world.

Ms Masood further referred to the problems facing the Muslim world and said they can be resolved by taking recourse to the teachings of the Quran.

Yasser Zahra, Iraq’s cultural attaché in Iran was another speaker at the ceremony, stressing the need to act upon the Quranic teachings and injunctions.

The 27th edition of the exhibition is underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) here in the Iranian capital until May 24.

Pakistan is the special guest in this year’s exhibition and there are also representatives from India, Bahrain, Palestine, Nigeria, Yemen, Cameroon, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Oman and Ivory Coast.
