Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari has narrated:
\nProphet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) had not eaten anything for several days.
\nHunger was making him suffer.
\nHe went to the houses of his wives, but found nothing there to eat.
\nHe then went to the house of Fatimah Zahra (S.A) and told her, “O my daughter!
\nDo you have anything for me to eat as I am very hungry?”
\nHazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A) replied, “No my dear father.”
\nAs soon as Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) left her house, one of the neighbors brought Fatimah Zahra (S.A) some bread and meat. She accepted the offer, put it in a dish, and covered it.
\nAlthough Fatimah Zahra (S.A) and her family were in much need for food she said, “I consider the Messenger of Allah as being prior to me and my family in this meal.”
\nFatimah Zahra (S.A) then sent Imam Hassan (A.S) and Imam Hussein (A.S) after Prophet Muhammad (S.A).
\nWhen Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) returned, Fatimah Zahra (S.A) said, “Allah (S.W.T) has sent us some food that I have put aside for you.”
\nProphet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) asked her to bring the food.
\nFatimah Zahra (S.A) brought the dish.
\nWhen she uncovered it, she found it full of bread and meat.
\nBeing surprised, she realized that it was Allah’s (S.W.T) blessing.
\nShe thanked Allah (S.W.T) and praised His Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P).
\nWhen Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) saw the dish, he said, “From where have you gotten this food?”
\nShe said: It is from Allah.
\nSurely Allah gives sustenance to whom He pleases without measure<\/strong>.
\n(Noble Qur’an, 3:37)
\nProphet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) praised Allah (S.W.T) and said, “Grace be to Allah who has made you similar to the best woman (Maryam) of the world during the time of the tribe of Israelites.
\nWhen was asked about who sent her the food, she (Maryam (S.A)) would reply, “Allah gives sustenance to anyone he wants without counting.”
\nProphet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) then sent someone after Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (P.B.U.H&H.P).
\nThen Prophet Muhammad, Imam Ali, Fatimah Zahra, Imam Hassan, Imam Hussein (A.S) and all the wives and family of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&H.P) ate from that food, but still the dish remained full.
\nFatimah Zahra (S.A) said, “I gave some of that food to all the neighbors.
\nAllah (S.W.T) has blessed that food, just like the one of Maryam’s (S.A).<\/p>\n
