RNA \u2013 Speaking at the World Summit on the \u201cLovers of the Ahlul-Bayt and Countering Takfirism\u201d held in Tehran, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi-Shahroudi, the head of Iran\u2019s Expediency Council said that today, we are witnessing a more powerful presence of the forces of the Islamic Resistance in the fight against international Zionism and their allies in the region and noted, \u201cIn the situation today, we must use our intellect to confront terrorism. In the same manner that the Takfiri ideology played an essential role in the issue of al-Qaedah, today the issue of Daesh has the same form.\u201d
\nThe senior Iranian politician added, \u201cAt the time of the formation of al-Qaedah and Daesh, the Wahhabi-Takfiri ideology played an essential role and with the support of the arrogant powers, they were able to challenge the Muslim world. Therefore, as long as this ideology exists, the Islamic world cannot remain comfortable and continue its work.\u201d
\nHe stressed, \u201cWe need all the elites of the Islamic world to come together and lead everyone to the truth, meaning that the love for the Ahlul-Bayt isn\u2019t exclusive to the Shi\u2019ahs. In fact, this command is possessed by all Muslims and we must to introduce the love of the Ahlul-Bayt as the unifying element among Muslims and the truth-seekers of the world.\u201d
\nAyatollah Hashemi-Shahroudi said, \u201cToday\u2019s summit is celebrated with the victory over Daesh and the recapture of the last bases of this filthy tree in Syria and Iraq. For this reason, congratulations must be given to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], the Syrian and Iraqi governments and people, and also to Iraqi Hezbollah, the jihadi forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Quds Forces for this victory.\u201d
\nReferring to the presence of 20 million people in the Arba\u2019in pilgrimage to the Iraqi city of Karbala, His Eminence said, \u201cThe large number of people participating in the Arba\u2019in pilgrimage demonstrates the authority and glory of the Ahlul-Bayt in front of the eyes of the world, so we must not forget that the love of God, the Prophet and the Ahlul-Bayt are considered as the spirit of religion.\u201d
\nThe cleric added, \u201cIndeed, the Arba\u2019in pilgrimage and the presence of all Muslims and non-Muslims, as well as Shi\u2019ahs and non-Shi\u2019ahs in this pilgrimage, demonstrates the great potential of the love of the Ahlul-Bayt in creating unity for the realization of an Islamic Revolution in the world.\u201d
\nAyatollah Hashemi-Shahroudi said, \u201cAll the great concepts in Islam are present in the life and conduct of the Ahlul-Bayt. In the present situation, the arrogant front also has an understanding of the capacity of the love of the Ahlul-Bayt, as well as the understanding of the concept of the opposition to oppression among Muslims. For this reason, they are seeking to present falsified and distorted versions of Islam in the form of Takfiri Islam.\u201d
\nThe head of the Expediency Council pointed out that the enemies are seeking to present misconceptions about jihad and the realization of pure Islamic values by presenting a false version of Islam and said, \u201cWith a little glance, it can be seen that in all of these false versions and readings, in general, the common axis of hostility to the Ahlul-Bayt and hostility with the friends of the Ahlul-Bayt is at the top of the affair.\u201d
\nThe Iranian capital is hosting an international conference to discuss means of countering Takfirism.
\nThe two-day event kicked off on November 22, with more than 500 Shi\u2019ah and Sunni scholars from 90 countries in attendance.
\nIt aims to discuss ongoing attempts by actors within and outside Muslim countries to divide the Muslim world and portray it in a bad light.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
