{"id":12916,"date":"2018-01-26T10:15:18","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T10:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=12916"},"modified":"2018-01-26T10:15:48","modified_gmt":"2018-01-26T10:15:48","slug":"zarif-slams-saudi-vision-of-light-spin-us-credit-grabbing-for-daesh-defeat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/zarif-slams-saudi-vision-of-light-spin-us-credit-grabbing-for-daesh-defeat\/","title":{"rendered":"Zarif slams Saudi &#8216;vision of light spin&#8217;, US &#8216;credit-grabbing&#8217; for Daesh defeat"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>Iran&#8217;s Foreign Minister Mohammad\u00a0Javad Zarif says the US and Saudi Arabia cannot alter the facts on the ground about their sponsorship of\u00a0Daesh and Iran&#8217;s role in defeating the Takfiri terrorist group.<\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0post\u00a0on his Twitter account\u00a0on Thursday, Zarif reacted to latest remarks by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, who accused Iran of backing sectarianism.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a panel in the\u00a0World Economic Forum\u00a0in the Swiss town of\u00a0Davos on Wednesday, Jubeir claimed that Iran was promoting a &#8220;vision of darkness&#8221; in the region while the Saudi Arabia had a &#8220;vision of light.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the Middle East, we have two competing visions.
