RNA \u2013 In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom\u2019s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the forthcoming Hajj Week and said, \u201cDespite all the hatred of the arrogant powers and the animosity of their dependents, this year, the Hajj pilgrimage will also be held which will mark the epitome of the worship of the God Almighty and the unity of the Islamic ummah. We hope that the Hajj pilgrims observe the customs and ethics and represent the revolutionary, civilized and unified face of Islam in Hajj and practice their worship, political and revolutionary duties.\u201d<\/p>\n

The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran commemorated the anniversary of the founding of the Guardian Council and said, \u201cIn other countries, there are institutions that protect the constitution and its founding principles and in Islamic Iran, based on past experiences, an institution was set up by jurists and lawyers to protect Islamic values and the Islamic Revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

He pointed out that this strategic plan was based on the late Imam Khomeyni and the constitution and all the movements must recognize the values and importance of protecting the Islamic constitution and Islamic values and this important institution must not be subject to bias and deceitful thinking.<\/p>\n

Referring to welfare and social welfare services, Ayatollah Arafi added, \u201cIn conditions where there are hardships for the poor and needy, charities, welfare, the relief committee and all people are responsible to give the necessary attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

With emphasis on literacy and eradicating illiteracy in the country, the member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said, \u201cOne of the important things to do is to eliminate illiteracy so that children are not deprived of the blessings of education and schooling. For this reason, all children must go to school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referring to the water and electricity conditions in Iran, he added, \u201cIn a situation where there are shortages of water and electricity, the government and the authorities must pay double the attention to the vital issues facing society in a jihadi and revolution manner and the current situation is not sufficient. All of the people must accompany and modify the pattern of consumption in various fields of consumption and agriculture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi said that unauthorized impressions must be controlled, farmers need to be technicalized and items like pastures which require a lot of water must be removed.<\/p>\n

The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom emphasized that today, we are facing a state of economic warfare, \u201cOfficials and politicians and everyone must know that the power of the arrogant powers was collected to bring about economic collapse, chaos, turmoil, the creation of anarchy and distance between the people and the revolutionary cause.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cEvery counter-revolutionary who has come into the field to weaken the people of Iran, wishes that the Islamic Revolution will not reach its fortieth anniversary. The President of the United States [Donald Trump] says, \u2018We are waiting for Iran\u2019s surrender and negotiation with us.\u2019 These are the evil wishes of the enemies.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi said, \u201cThe Iranian nation must be vigilant and politicians have to be present on the battlefield more than before and adopt revolutionary positions and wise measures and now, in these situations, we will face difficulties. The control of prices, the Resistance Economy and reliance on internal resources must be on the agenda of the authorities and people must also understand the depth of these incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dean of al-Mustafa International University said, \u201cAt the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, the enemies said that the Islamic system would not remain and today, everyone is attempting to prevent the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution from occurring but due to divine grace, the developed nation of Iran has endured the hardships and will transverse the path of progress and all the aspirations of Donald Trump and his affiliates will be ineffective.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi emphasized, \u201cAll the arrogant powers and their servants have been mobilized to overthrow the great nation of Iran but behind these dictatorial-like gestures and the angry and evil faces of shaky people. We are people of logic and speak and interact with logicians and not with the hideous faces of the devils of the world. We will stand with the Resistance Economy and diligent efforts and reliance on revolutionary logic against the foreigners and the Iranian nation, by following the Imam of Ashura, will not surrender to the bullies and will say \u2018hayhat minna dhillah\u2019 (\u2018disgrace is far away from us\u2019).\u201d<\/p>\n
