RNA \u2013 In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Hasan Alemi, the representative of the people of Iran\u2019s Khorasan Razavi province in the Assembly of Experts, emphasized that the enemies of Iran were never reliable and said, \u201cThe politicians must not consider that solving the current problems facing the country is dependent on negotiations with the enemies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Iranian cleric and politician added, \u201cThe enemies don\u2019t have a position where the people can trust in them and can obtain and give concessions by negotiating with them and be certain that the enemies will not abide by the concessions they have been given or obtained. This is certainly not the case because they acted this way with us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Alemi said, \u201cIf the enemies attached credibility and value to their statements and commitments, they wouldn\u2019t have abandoned the result of more than two years of negotiations that ended with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Thus, we could not expect anything else from the enemies.\u201d<\/p>\n

His Eminence continued, \u201cNow on the assumption that the officials went and negotiated with the enemies, what guarantee is there that they will not abandon the ultimate agreement like they did with the JCPOA? Anywhere the Americans go in the world and negotiate, if the negotiations are in the interest of the other party, they will easily withdraw from it just as was recently the case in North Korea where the United States didn\u2019t remove any sanctions from North Korea.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThe Europeans follow the United States and act on their demands. In my opinion, negotiating with the enemies isn\u2019t in the interests of the country and the people in any way and doesn\u2019t solve any of the problems facing the country, but rather it adds problems to our problems.\u201d<\/p>\n

In conclusion, Ayatollah Alemi emphasized that negotiating with the malicious enemies is a sign of weakness and pointed out, \u201cIf the enemies know that we have a weakness, they try to harm us through a variety of ways and don\u2019t reflect even a little in this manner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on May 8th that Washington was walking away from the JCPOA nuclear agreement and planned to reinstate American nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose \u201cthe highest level\u201d of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.<\/p>\n
