RNA \u2013 Speaking during his jurisprudence class at Qom\u2019s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah \u200eNaser Makarem-Shirazi condemned the terrorist attack which occurred in the southwestern \u200eIranian city of Ahvaz on September 22nd.\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The revered source of emulation called the attack a \u201ccrime\u201d and prayed for the quick \u200erecovery of those wounded in the attack.\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He also called for more vigilance and care from security officials and related organizations to \u200eprevent such incidents from occurring again.\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi, along with seminary students \u200eattending his class, prayed for the forgiveness of those martyred in this attack and recited \u200eSurah al-Fatihah for the recovery of the wounded.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On Saturday, terrorists opened fire at a crowd of people during a military parade held to \u200emark the invasion of Iran by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Husyan during the 1980s in \u200eAhvaz, killing 25 military personnel and civilians \u2014 including women and children \u2014 and \u200ewounding at least 68 others.<\/p>\n

The Saudi-backed al-Ahwaziyah terror group, which is based in Europe, has claimed \u200eresponsibility for the assault.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The renowned scholar also issued a message condemning the attack, the full text of which is \u200eas follows:\u200e<\/p>\n

We strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Ahvaz, which led to the martyrdom of a \u200egroup of soldiers and dear members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, ordinary \u200epeople, and even a young child and injured many others and we hope that, with the efforts \u200eof the authorities, the perpetrators will be brought to justice with a strong response and that \u200ethey will succeed in eradicating this terrorist group.\u200e<\/p>\n

This blind terrorist attack was neither heroic, nor brave, nor was it a struggle, but it was one \u200ehundred percent due to foolishness, such that it led to hatred, not just among all the people \u200eof the country, but rather among all of the free people of the world, especially the brave, \u200eself-sacrificing and believing people of Khuzestan. \u200e<\/p>\n

The surprise here is how do they say that we were the cause of this incident and that they \u200eare buying all this hatred and humiliation for themselves?\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This spontaneous incident demonstrated that all officials must increase their vigilance and \u200eprevent the repetition of such incidents. We sincerely offer our condolences to all the \u200efamilies who lost their loved ones in this incident and we are urgently praying to God to grant \u200ethe wounded a quick recovery.\u200e<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
