RNA \u2013 In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom\u2019s Quds \u200e\u200ePrayer Hall, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri commemorated Holy Defence \u200e\u200eWeek, which marks the beginning of the Iran-Iraq War, and appreciated the courage of \u200ethose who \u200esacrificed for the victory of the eight-year long Imposed War, saying, \u201cThe culture \u200eof the \u200eSacred Defence must always be the frontispiece of the community, especially the \u200e\u200eauthorities\u200f.\u200f\u200e\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that the Iranian people stood \u200e\u200efor eight years with bravery against the arrogant countries of the world and resisted during \u200e\u200ethe Sacred Defence and gained victory and said, \u201cToday, we must resist against the face of \u200e\u200ethe enemies\u2019 economic warfare with the planning and foresight of the authorities, the \u200e\u200eassistance of the people and divine grace and defeat the enemies\u200f.\u200f\u200e\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Referring to the September 22nd terrorist attack in Ahvaz, he said, \u201cIn this bitter incident, we \u200e\u200ewitnessed the martyrdoms and injuries of some of our loved ones. These crimes were \u200e\u200eperpetrated by the order of the commanders of the terrorist masters \u2013 the United States and \u200e\u200ethose in the region who say that the war must brought to Iran.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri added, \u201cWeapons and equipment were provided by the \u200e\u200emercenaries of the arrogant powers. This terrorist attack was a cause of great mourning for \u200e\u200eour people but the passionate presence of the heroic people of Ahvaz in the funeral \u200eceremonies \u200edemonstrated that our people are insightful, aware, awake and forethoughtful\u200f.\u200f\u200e\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Referring to the problems of the people of Khuzestan province, the secretary of the \u200eSupreme Council \u200eof the Seminary said, \u201cThe people of Ahvaz and Khuzestan have had many \u200eproblems \u200ethroughout the past year but when they saw that the enemies targeted them, they \u200ecame to the \u200escene with all their being. We offer our condolences to the people of Khuzestan \u200eon the \u200emartyrdom of their loved ones but we offer our congratulations to them due to their \u200einsight \u200eand awareness\u200f.\u200f\u200e\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

He said that President Hasan Rouhani spoke from a position of the authority of the Islamic \u200e\u200esystem of government at the United Nations General Assembly and said, \u201cIn the face of \u200e\u200eAmerican treachery, the president announced that Iran doesn\u2019t need to meet and negotiate \u200ewith the enemies but \u200erather we must respond to their treachery. We hope that such \u200epositions will exist in all areas \u200eagainst the enemies so that they don\u2019t desire to overthrow the \u200eIslamic Revolution and \u200edon\u2019t assume that if they impose pressure, our officials will shirk their \u200erevolutionary \u200eresponsibilities. In all areas of internal and external affairs, we must have solid \u200epositions on \u200ethe level of the Islamic system.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said that the Friday prayer leaders are the voices and the \u200e\u200espokesmen of the people and added, \u201cWe call on the heads of the three branches of \u200e\u200egovernment, especially the executive branch, to contemplate over the instability existent in \u200e\u200ethe field of foreign exchange, coins, the devaluation of the currency of the country and other \u200e\u200eeconomic issues and solve these issues. Every hour, the exchange rate is increasing. How did \u200e\u200ethis occur and how can it be investigated\u200f?\u200f\u200e\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts \u200esaid, \u201cThe authorities \u200e\u200emust have precise planning and use the skills of the eminent economists of the country to \u200eovercome \u200ethese problems. This process is unacceptable and the increase in prices are \u200ecreated turmoil among the people. Unfortunately, some people play the role of the enemies \u200eand engage in hoarding. If \u200ethe United States and Donald Trump are hostile, it\u2019s natural and \u200ethey\u2019re always the enemies \u200ebut why do those who have goods and capital in the country \u200eoppress people and why do such \u200epeople follow the enemies\u2019 goals?\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said, \u201cThe enemies are happy about these conditions and the \u200e\u200efriends of the Islamic Revolution are concerned. Why don\u2019t they manage this situation\u200f?\u200f\u200e Some \u200eof the \u200eproblems are related to the sanctions but another part comes back to the people and \u200e\u200eauthorities. The authorities must revise their behaviours, plans and economic policies and the \u200e\u200egovernment must have more oversight and the judiciary must act with greater transparency.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
