RNA \u2013 In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom\u2019s Qods \u200ePrayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the current state of Iran and the duties of the \u200epeople and authorities in this regard, said, \u201cOn the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic \u200eRevolution, we are faced with heavy political, economic, social and cultural attacks.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom added, \u201cAccording to the correct \u200eanalysis by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], these \u200eattacks are passive and they must not remove us from the scene. These attacks are due to \u200ethe survival of the Islamic Revolution over the past forty years and the advance of the \u200ecrashing wave of the Revolution in the international arena. The enemies are prepared with all \u200etheir power. We aren\u2019t facing a disappointing crisis but there is a challenge and the nation \u200eand the authorities must come together to combat the problems.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

He emphasized on the importance of protecting revolutionary and Islamic authority, \u201cThe \u200ebasis of protection is faith, unity and cohesion and also includes missile power and defence \u200eindustries. Elements of authority must be preserved and strengthened with complete force. \u200eUnity, the convergence and observance of the interests of the country in the light of the \u200eguidance of the Supreme Leader must be on the agenda of the government and the nation.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi called for officials to pay greater attention of to internal capabilities and \u200ecapacities and continued, \u201cWe must rely on our internal strength and have no confidence in \u200ethe United States or even Europe. The eyes of the authorities must not be toward the \u200eoutside and we must protect our sense of independence, self-confidence and revolutionary \u200espirit in planning and orientation. We must know that through resistance and adherence to \u200ethe values of Islam, the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation will be victorious.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution noted, \u201cIn the face of the \u200ecurrent hardships \u2013 in the area of price control, the observance of the needy classes, the \u200efight against corruption, discrimination, displaced rights and rents everyone must work \u200etogether.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Referring to the forthcoming epic of the Arba\u2019in pilgrimage, he said, \u201cThis magnificent \u200emovement must be performed with greater glorious. Arba\u2019in is a great spiritual and religious \u200eepic which is unparalleled in the world and people from all religions and denominations are \u200epresent and the program is guided by the people themselves.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi added, \u201cThe people of the world attend this great march, which is very \u200eimportant, and everyone must strive to comply with the laws in this epic commemoration. \u200eWe are thankful for the decrease in the prices because we must open the path for more \u200epeople to attend from Iran and throughout the world. We must also thank the sources of \u200eemulation and the Iraqi people and government.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The dean of al-Mustafa International University said that the Iranian-Iraqi relations must be \u200estrong and added, \u201cThe enemies have come to undermine these strong relations, while these \u200erelations must be more firmly established than before. The new Iraqi officials must recognize \u200ethe strategic depth of relations and their worth for the independence of nations.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cGod-willing, the Islamic ummah will enjoy the great epic of Arba\u2019in in spiritual and \u200espiritual dimensions. In the pilgrimage of Arba\u2019in, with all its virtues and great divine slogans, \u200ewe must certainly commemorate the memory of the martyrs of Iran and Iraq and the \u200eIslamic Resistance. Thanks to these martyrs, the epic of Arba\u2019in will be realized today.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Referring to the bitter incident of the murder of Jamal Khashoqji, a Saudi journalist who \u200ecriticised the House of Saud in Turkey, Ayatollah Arafi said, \u201cThat a critic and journalist was \u200etortured and murdered isn\u2019t acceptable.\u201d \u200e<\/p>\n

His Eminence said, \u201cRecently, [American President Donald] Trump humiliated the Saudi rulers. \u200eWe protest these rulers and we regard them as dependent and mercenaries but we really are \u200ereally annoyed that one individual from 10,000 kilometres beyond the borders of the Muslim \u200eummah dared to call this government a lactating cow and said that Saudi Arabia and its King \u200ewould not last two weeks in power without American military support. This is a shame for \u200ethe House of Saud.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

He noted \u201cThe House of Saud and the affiliated rulers must return to Islam and not affiliate \u200ethemselves to the West. Islam gives honour to individuals and governments and those who \u200ehave a Western orientation in their hearts must know the end of orientation to the West is \u200ehumiliation. Our hearts are burning for this abject and dependent government, which is being \u200ehumiliated in this manner.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Addressing the regional rulers, Ayatollah Arafi said, \u201cLook at the authority of Iran and the \u200eIslamic Resistance Front, which all enemies are afraid of. The footprint of the Takfiris of \u200eSaudi Arabia are visible in many events. There is a need to discover this and take \u200eappropriate measures.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
