RNA \u2013 In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Reza \u200eToyserkani, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah \u200eKhamenei] in the Basij Organization, referred to the new sanctions imposed by the United \u200eStates against some banks and financial institutions affiliated with the Basij Cooperative \u200eFoundation in Iran and said, \u201cJust as Ayatollah Khamenei has repeatedly emphasized, the \u200eissue of sanctions isn\u2019t a new issue. Iran has been subject to comprehensive sanctions by \u200ethe arrogant front since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.\u201d\u200e
\nThe Iranian cleric added, \u201cTherefore, the Iranian people pay the sufficient and necessary \u200eattention to this point because on the front of the warfare, the enemies are suggesting that \u200ethe sanctions are a new, effective and crippling issue and have destructive effects on Iran\u2019s \u200eculture, politics and economy while the reality is something else because the sanctions are \u200ean old, recurring and ineffective weapon.\u201d\u200e
\nHe described the sanctions of the enemies as \u201cineffective\u201d against the determination and will \u200eof the revolutionary forces and the Basij and said, \u201cIn the view of the revolutionary and \u200eBasiji forces, when the country is subject to sanctions, it\u2019s something to be happy about \u200ebecause due to the effect of the sanctions, the domestic abilities flourish and the capabilities \u200eof the country are put to use. Due to the sanctions on the Iranian nation, the country will \u200esoon become independent and national dignity will emerge.\u201d\u200e
\nHujjat al-Islam Toyserkani continued, \u201cDue to the sanctions, national unity is realized, \u200eunemployment is abolished, external perspectives are diminished and domestic perspectives \u200eare strengthened. As a result of the sanctions, the hidden assistance [of God] is the destiny \u200eof the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic will be victorious\u200e. As a result, the sanctions \u200eshatter the fragile dignity and magnificence of the enemies. Due to the sanctions, the free \u200enations feel an identity and the means for freedom is provided to the governments of the \u200eregion. Thus, the sanctions have many positive effects and blessings.\u201d\u200e
\nHis Eminence spoke about the role of the media in reflecting the positive effects of the \u200esanctions, saying, \u201cThe media has a great responsibility and must work around the positive \u200eeffects of the sanctions because the enemies want to make the Iran nation fearful of the \u200esanctions. Fear of the sanctions is the demand of the enemies. The enemies interfere \u200ethrough the internet in a variety of ways and with various mechanisms. They have the power \u200eto promote and foment the fear of sanctions, while we embrace the sanctions.\u201d\u200e

\nHe emphasized that the truth of the Islamic Revolution and the truth in the Islamic system \u200emust be explained more to the people than before and said, \u201cThe enemies want to achieve \u200etheir goals by creating a false impression of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic, as \u200ewell as a false impression of the arrogant front. The media must expose these \u200emisconceptions and explain the true aspects of the Islamic system and the hegemonic \u200esystem.\u201d\u200e
\nIn conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Toyserkani said, \u201cAccording to the Supreme Leader, an \u200eexplanatory jihad in these two arenas must begin by the media.
