{"id":15554,"date":"2018-12-10T05:15:27","date_gmt":"2018-12-10T05:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=15554"},"modified":"2018-12-10T05:15:27","modified_gmt":"2018-12-10T05:15:27","slug":"iran-supports-uns-mission-to-resolve-yemen-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/iran-supports-uns-mission-to-resolve-yemen-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran supports UN\u2019s mission to resolve Yemen crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"item-summary\">\n<p class=\"summary introtext\">TEHRAN, Dec. 09 (MNA) \u2013 Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi says Tehran clearly and totally supports the United Nations\u2019 mission to pursue a political solution to the ongoing crisis in Yemen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>According to the English website of Iranian foreign ministry, Ghasemi made the remarks in response to Iranian ISNA news agency&#8217;s\u00a0question about the claims made by some foreign media that Iran has offered to send a delegation to participate in the Yemeni negotiations in Stockholm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Stockholm consultations are of a Yemeni-Yemeni nature. Since the beginning of the Yemen crisis, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stressed the need for intra-Yemeni talks free from any foreign intervention,\u201d he said, stressing that Iran\u2019s call for talks among Yemenis was particularly mentioned in the third part of the Iranian foreign minister\u2019s four-point plan to end the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTehran has consistently expressed its full support for the UN\u2019s mission to find an appropriate political solution as the only way to resolve the crisis,\u201d Ghasemi noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran adopted and maintained the stance at a time when the United States gave the green light for the launch of a devastating and inhumane war on the Yemeni people by adopting a politically ambitious, completely biased, destructive and unbalanced policy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWashington, by offering various types of financial, arms and political support for the aggressors, has backed the continuation of one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes, as acknowledged by international organisations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran hopes that the Yemeni parties, by adopting an independent and peaceful approach within the framework of national and Yemeni-Yemeni talks, will prevent rapacious and warmongering foreigners from interfering in and obstructing the negotiations in a bid to end the plight and sufferings of the oppressed Yemeni people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TEHRAN, Dec. 09 (MNA) \u2013 Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi says Tehran clearly and totally supports the United Nations\u2019 mission to pursue a political solution to the ongoing crisis in Yemen.
