{"id":15591,"date":"2018-12-18T04:04:35","date_gmt":"2018-12-18T04:04:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=15591"},"modified":"2018-12-18T04:04:35","modified_gmt":"2018-12-18T04:04:35","slug":"quran-untranslatable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/quran-untranslatable\/","title":{"rendered":"Quran Untranslatable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 A Iranian Quran expert underlined that the Holy Book is untranslatable, saying that every translation of the Quran is actually an interpretation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a ceremony held at the International Quran News Agency (IQNA) on Sunday to unveil his Quran interpretation named \u201cShams Exegesis of the Holy Quran\u201d, Hojat-ol-Islam Mostafa Boroujerdi said no matter how much effort is put into translation of the Holy Book, it will not be able to convey all of the nuances and meanings.<\/p>\n<p>According to the cleric, every rendering of the Quran into any language is not a translation actually but an interpretation.<\/p>\n<p>The Shams Exegesis of the Holy Quran has been published in ten volumes by the Boostan-e Ketab Publishing Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Writing, editing and publishing the Quranic work took some 11 years.<\/p>\n<p>A number of Quranic, religious, cultural and political officials, including Seyyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad, senior member of Iran\u2019s Academy of Sciences, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and Issa Alizadeh, cultural deputy of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), were present at the unveiling ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Boroujerdi is currently Iran\u2019s ambassador to Tunisia and previously served as the country\u2019s envoy to the Vatican and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 A Iranian Quran expert underlined that the Holy Book is untranslatable, saying that every translation of the Quran is actually an interpretation.
