Prophet Musa (a)<\/span><\/p>\n

Israil’s family decided
\nto stay in Egypt. For a
\nlong time they were
\nhappy. The family grew.
\nThere were many people
\nrelated to Israil and they
\nbecame known as the
\nBani Israil.<\/span><\/p>\n

For some reason the
\nEgyptian people did not
\nlike the Bani Israil.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new Firawn became ruler
\nof Egypt. Israil’s people
\nbecame slaves to the
\ngovernment. They wereforced
\nto do many unpleasant jobs
\nand were treated very badly.<\/span><\/p>\n

One night Firawn had a
\ndream. His high priest, Haman,
\ntold him what he thought the
\ndream meant. An Israil boy would be born
\nand he would grow up and cause
\nthe death of Firawn.<\/span><\/p>\n

This made Firawn very
\nangry and so he thought of
\na horrible plan.
\nAll the boys born to the
\nIsrailites would be
\nkilled at birth.
\nHe thought this would
\nstop the dream from
\ncoming true.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imran and his wife had two
\nchildren, a girl called Maryam
\nand a boy called Iram. Soon
\nafter Firawn told of his
\nplan, Imran’s wife found out that
\nshe was going to have another
\nbaby.<\/span><\/p>\n

They were pleased but they were
\nalso worried that if the baby was
\na boy, he would be killed.<\/span><\/p>\n

She did not tell anyone that she was
\ngoing to have a baby. She stayed at
\nhome and kept her secret until the
\nbaby was born.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It was a boy.
\nShe loved the baby very much but
\nrealised that if she kept him, he
\nmight be killed.<\/span><\/p>\n

She put the baby in a special
\nbox and Maryam went with her
\nto the river Nile.<\/span><\/p>\n

They carefully put the box in
\nthe river and prayed that it
\nwould sail to safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allah was watching over the
\nbaby. No harm would come
\nto him.<\/span><\/p>\n

The box sailed into Firawn’s
\ngardens. Some maids were there
\nand saw the box caught in the
\nbullrushes. They pulled it out
\nand were amazed to find a
\nbeautiful baby inside.
\nThey took him to Firawn’s wife,
\nAsia, who looked at him and
\nknew at once that he was an Israili.<\/span><\/p>\n

Firawn wanted to kill the
\nbaby but Asia cried and
\ncried and was so upset that
\neventually he said she could
\nkeep him and even adopt him.
\nThe baby was called Musa.
\nHe was not happy. He cried
\nbecause he was hungry but
\nwould not take milk from
\nanyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maryam heard of this and she let
\nit be known that she knew someone
\nwho might be able to help.
\nShe went to her mother
\nand told her
\nwhat had
\nhappened. They
\nwent to the
\npalace and when
\nMusa was put
\nin her arms he
\nstopped crying
\nand took milk
\nfrom her.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Allah’s help
\nMusa and his
\nmother were reunited.
\nShe was able to look after
\nMusa for a long time and
