{"id":16429,"date":"2019-05-09T15:02:07","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T15:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=16429"},"modified":"2019-05-09T15:02:07","modified_gmt":"2019-05-09T15:02:07","slug":"al-kawthar-tvs-intl-quran-contest-gets-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/al-kawthar-tvs-intl-quran-contest-gets-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"subtitle\">TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 The 12th edition of an international Quran recitation competition organized by Al-Kawthar TV kicked off on the weekend.<\/div>\n<div class=\"body ah_body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the TV channel\u2019s public relations office, three contenders showcased their Quran recitation talents on the first night of the contest.<\/p>\n<p>They were Mehdi Foroughi from Iran, Morteza Rahmani from Afghanistan and Ahmed al-Asadi from Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>On the second night, Qaris from Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan took part in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Masters Seyed Mehdi Seyf from Iran, Haidar al-Kazemi from Iraq, Rizwan Darwish from Syria and Abdolkabir Heidari from Afghanistan are the members of the panel of judges.<\/p>\n<p>The phone-in Quran competition titled \u201cInna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza\u201d (Indeed, for the righteous is attainment- Holy Quran, 78:31) begins on the first night of Ramadan every year.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s competition is expected to be attended by some 250 Qaris from different countries.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_btn img-responsive\" title=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iqna.ir\/files\/en\/news\/2019\/5\/8\/40248_502.jpg\" alt=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" align=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_btn img-responsive\" title=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iqna.ir\/files\/en\/news\/2019\/5\/8\/40249_111.jpg\" alt=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" align=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_btn img-responsive\" title=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iqna.ir\/files\/en\/news\/2019\/5\/8\/40250_222.jpg\" alt=\"Al-Kawthar TV\u2019s Int\u2019l Quran Contest Gets Underway\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" align=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Seyed Abbas Razavi, an official with the TV channel, 96 contenders will be selected to compete in the semifinal round, five of whom will make it to the finals.<\/p>\n<p>Those who reach the finals will be invited to the TV channel\u2019s headquarters to compete in this round.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that countries like Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon have the highest number of contestants in the Quranic event.<\/p>\n<p>The finals will be held a night before Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p>Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza is the Muslim world\u2019s biggest live Quran recitation competition aired by Al-Kawthar, an Arabic-language channel within the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting\u2019s World Service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 The 12th edition of an international Quran recitation competition organized by Al-Kawthar TV kicked off on the weekend. &nbsp; &nbsp; According to the TV channel\u2019s public relations office, three contenders showcased their Quran recitation talents on the first night of the contest.
