RNA – “The only way to liberate a territory is resistance and today this issue is not only limited to Palestine but includes Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and the entire region and the US move to impose a different condition is the root cause of all clashes,” Qassim was quoted by the Arabic-language Elam al-Harbi news website as saying on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He underscored the need for resistance against enemies more than ever, and said, “We are in a defensive position and we cannot accept to surrender to Israel and the US and their plans under any conditions.”<\/p>\n

His remarks came after the secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement said Israeli authorities had described his group as \u201ca strategic threat\u201d to the Tel Aviv regime in an attempt to mobilize support and provoke the international community against it.<\/p>\n

Addressing his supporters via a televised speech\u00a0broadcast live from the Lebanese capital\u00a0of Beirut\u00a0on Saturday evening, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah stated that the United States and the Zionist regime (of Israel) were conspiring against Hezbollah in a bid to weaken popular\u00a0support for the movement.<\/p>\n

He stressed that Hezbollah had stood firm in the face of US and Israeli hegemonic schemes for the Middle East region.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe United States would have offered southern Lebanon to Israel if Hezbollah did not exist. Lebanon is not\u00a0in a\u00a0position\u00a0of\u00a0weakness. We are standing up for our rights concerning Sheba’a Farms, Kfarchouba village as well as the northern section of\u00a0Ghajar\u00a0(village),\u201d Nasrallah said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLebanon can stop the Zionist regime (of Israel) from plundering\u00a0its oil and gas\u00a0reserves,\u201d the Hezbollah secretary-general added.<\/p>\n

He further highlighted that his movement fully supports the Palestinian cause and the\u00a0Palestinian right of return\u00a0to their homes.<\/p>\n

According to Fars News Agancy, Nasrallah also called on people worldwide to turn out en masse for International Quds Day rallies.<\/p>\n

Commenting on a forthcoming US-led conference in\u00a0Bahrain\u00a0next month in support of US President Donald Trump\u2019s controversial proposal\u00a0for \u201cpeace\u201d between the Israeli regime and Palestinians, dubbed \u201cthe deal of the century\u201d, Nasrallah emphasized that the initiative is aimed at liquidation of the Palestinian cause.<\/p>\n

The Hezbollah chief also praised the position of Bahraini scholars, members of the public as well as political factions in the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom to have expressed their strong objection to hosting the June 25-26 conference in\u00a0Manama.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasrallah said the Lebanese nation rejects permanent settlement of Palestinian refugees in the country, stressing that the latter must not give up on the\u00a0right\u00a0to\u00a0return to their homeland.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll Lebanese people believe that efforts\u00a0must be made to enable\u00a0Syrian refugees to\u00a0repatriate. Nevertheless, US persistence and bids from some reactionary regional regimes have prevented displaced Syrians from returning home.
