In a speech in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed \u201cdeep heartfelt gratitude\u201d to the Iranian people for their massive participation in the rallies across the country, marking the International Quds Day, in support of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n
The Leader made the remarks at Imam Khomeini\u2019s Mosalla Grand Prayer Grounds after leading Eid al-Fitr\u2019s prayers, a festive rite celebrating the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe strong and firm presence of the people in this great movement has major impacts on the global policies and wills of the Iranian nation\u2019s enemies and will disrupt their calculations,\u201d Ayatollah Khamenei stated.<\/p>\n
The Leader pointed to the US conspiracy called \u201cthe deal of the century\u201d and said the betrayal of some Muslim countries, including Bahrain and Saudi Arabia has provided the grounds for \u201cthe evil plot\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ayatollah Khamenei also denounced the Manama regime for agreeing to host a conference later this month, where Washington plans to unveil parts of the deal.<\/p>\n
The deal of the century will never materialize, the Leader noted, expressing gratitude to some Arab countries and the Palestinian groups that have voided their opposition to the deal.<\/p>\n
Last month, the White House announced that Bahrain will host a workshop on June 25-26 in the capital Manama.<\/p>\n
All Palestinian groups, along with the United Nations and several other countries, have boycotted the event.<\/p>\n
Iranian people took part in countrywide demonstrations on Friday to mark the International Quds Day, reaffirm support for Palestine, and condemn the Israeli crimes against Palestinians.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s rallies were held under the slogan \u201cEn Route for Quds\u201d in the Arab countries.<\/p>\n
Each year, the International Quds Day is celebrated on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
