Ayatollah Tavakkol said that the Europeans are seeking to prevent Iran from decreasing its \u200ecommitments to the JCPOA and added, \u201cAdherence to the logic of the resistance of the \u200eSupreme Leader is considered the only solution to the economic problems.\u201d\u200e<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
RNA \u2013 In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Sayyed Rahim Tavakkol, \u200e\u200ethe representative of the people of Mazandaran province in the Assembly of Experts\u200e, \u200ereferred to the disloyalty and the lack of commitment of the Europeans to their promises, \u200eand said, \u201cIn regard to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the officials must \u200eact vigilantly and he also called on them to act in opposition to the operationalization \u200eof any \u200eof the clauses of the JPCOA by the West as much as they act in accordance their own \u200ecommitments and not to act at once on all of the commitments of the JCPOA and then wait \u200efor the Western powers to act.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary\u200e of Qom \u200econtinued, \u201c[The Iranian] negotiating team and \u200ethe diplomatic system should have implemented a clause in regard to the commitments from \u200ethe beginning and then they should have waited for the West to act but if they also acted in \u200eaccordance with their obligations, they would have also taken other steps in the same \u200emanner.\u201d\u200e

\nHe added, \u201cUnfortunately, the diplomatic system \u200eof the country didn\u2019t act intelligently and \u200eafter the signing of the JCPOA, Iran sought to fulfill the obligations of the JCPOA but the \u200eWestern powers were satisfied with the same text and signing of the agreement and didn\u2019t \u200etake any action.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Tavakkol considered the bitter experience and defeat in the cause of the JCPOA as \u200ea crude result, ignorance or betrayal by some officials and said, \u201cThe enemies want us to \u200eunilaterally commit to the JCPOA and act on it. In other words, they want Iran to abide by \u200eall its commitments to the JPCOA in the face of almost nothing.\u201d \u200e<\/p>\n

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said that in their pursuit of diplomacy, some \u200eofficials played with the honour of eighty million people in Iran and emphasized, \u201cSome \u200eofficials are playing with the honour and dignity of the present and future generations of \u200eIslamic Iran with their path of negotiations and compromise.\u201d \u200e<\/p>\n

He said that Europeans will never part from the United States in pursuing the interests of \u200eIran, said, \u201cThe Europeans easily manipulate the Iranian people in order not to never part \u200e\u200efrom the United States. Our experience has shown that the Europeans \u200eadvocate in all areas \u200eof the United States but we, as a believing and Muslim nation, must not make the same \u200emistake twice.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Tavakkol emphasized that the Europeans were merely pursuing a therapeutic \u200eapproach and intend to prevent the second step to reduce Iran\u2019s commitment to the JCPOA \u200eand said, \u201cToday, the authorities must firmly declare to the West that we don\u2019t want to \u200ecommit to the JCPOA and this issue is demonstrated in our practice.\u201d\u200e
