{"id":17163,"date":"2019-09-04T19:07:39","date_gmt":"2019-09-04T19:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=17163"},"modified":"2019-09-04T19:07:39","modified_gmt":"2019-09-04T19:07:39","slug":"building-culture-is-the-most-important-duty-of-the-government-in-the-islamic-political-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/building-culture-is-the-most-important-duty-of-the-government-in-the-islamic-political-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Building culture is the most important duty of the government in the Islamic political system"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\n<div class=\"row subtitle-box\">\n<div class=\"subtitle row\">The secretary-general of the World Forum for the Approximation of Islamic Schools of \u200eThought stated that the most important duty of governments in the Islamic political system \u200eis to build culture and said, \u201cThe government is responsible for the culture of society and \u200emust be held accountable.\u201d\u200e<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"body row\">RNA \u2013 Speaking at a mourning ceremony on the fourth night of Muharram at Shohada \u200eHusayniyah in Qom, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the secretary-general of the World Forum for \u200ethe Approximation of Islamic Schools of Thought, said that culture forms the identity of \u200esociety and added, \u201cThe culture of the system encompasses the good and the bad of a \u200esociety.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n<p>The member of the Assembly of Experts added, \u201cIn the language of jurisprudence and \u200ereligion, this system of good and evil is said to be \u2018<em>ma\u2019ruf<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>munkar<\/em>.\u2019 The greatest \u200eassistance to any society is to assist to perform good actions and avoid the performance of \u200ebad actions. The Imam is the <em>wali<\/em> (guardian) and <em>nasir<\/em> \u200e\u200f)\u200fhelper\u200f(\u200f\u200e of society. The Imam is \u200eresponsible for showing mankind the way and guiding them along this path and assisting \u200emankind.\u201d\u200e<br \/>\n\u200e \u200e<br \/>\nAyatollah Araki said that the gatherings to remember the events which occurred on the Day \u200eof Ashura are the identity of society and added, \u201cAll the events of Ashura, the martyrs and \u200ethe personalities of Karbala are creators of identity and builders of society which must be \u200etaken into consideration.\u201d \u200e<\/p>\n<p>His Eminence said that the most important duty of governments in the Islamic political \u200esystem is to build culture and stated, \u201cGovernments are responsible for the cultures of \u200esocieties and must be held accountable and today the Ministry of Culture and Islamic \u200eGuidance has that responsibility.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cThose who have responsibility have to be held accountable for what coverage \u200eand culture they have promoted in the society.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n<p>Ayatollah Araki emphasized, \u201cThe government must consider that if there is a problem, \u200ewhere it originated from. Governments and officials can instill a positive or negative culture in \u200esociety.
