RNA \u2013 In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at \u200eQom\u2019s \u200eQods \u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e\u200ePrayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the upcoming February 21, 2020 Iranian \u200elegislative election and said, \u201cA high turnout in the election will enhance the security and \u200eauthority of the country and the Islamic Resistance Front.\u200e\u200f \u200fWe see what role the valuable \u200escholars have created for the country and the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran stated that we need strong elections with a high \u200eturnout and said, \u201cSecurity, economy and authority depend on a high turnout. More than any \u200eother election, the upcoming election will be watched by friends and foes alike. We all have \u200ea revolutionary and religious duty to encourage people to participate in the election and the \u200eIranian people must create another scene of honour.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cA parliament must be established that monitors in a proper manner, recognizes \u200ethe suffering of the people and is distant from economic and moral damage. We must build \u200ea revolutionary parliament that requires the people\u2019s diligence.\u201d\u200e

\nAyatollah Arafi said, \u201cThe West and the House of Saud and reactionaries in the region whose \u200eelections are dependent on force or who don\u2019t understand the meaning of elections are \u200espeaking of the Iranian elections. They are brazen powers who don\u2019t know how to write \u200eabout the Iranian elections, the hypocrites and remnants of the former [Pahlavi] regime, \u200ewho were drowned in corruption and cruelty, make claims about our election.\u201d\u200e

\nThe jurisprudent member of the Guardian Council added, \u201cThe Islamic Republic and the \u200eIranian people have held forty elections and thanks to God, healthy and strong elections will \u200ebe held and the enemies will see that the people will not back down from the path of the \u200egreat aspirations of Islam and the authority and glory of Iran and disappoint them all.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
In other remarks, he referred to the concerns of the Iranian officials, Islamic Seminaries and \u200epeople regarding the situation of Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, \u200eand stated, \u201cShaykh Zakzaky is a warrior\u200f-\u200fleader who has offered his six children for the \u200egreatness of Islam and thousands of his supporters have been killed. Currently, this warrior \u200eand ill scholar is imprisoned. The Iranian people want Nigeria to act in a rational manner \u200ebecause Shaykh Zakzaky wants dignity for that country and they must negotiate with him.\u201d\u200e

\nAyatollah Arafi added, \u201cInternational organizations must take care of Shaykh Zakzaky\u2019s \u200ehealth. These organizations interfere and get involved in issues when they shouldn\u2019t but when \u200ethey have a duty, they are silent.
