The prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom referred to the enemies\u2019 \u200eattempts to promote deviant sects in Islamic society and emphasized the necessity of \u200eteaching the Shi\u2019ah beliefs and theology to the youth.\u200e<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
RNA \u2013 Speaking to a group of members of the Critique and Review of Baha\u2019ism Group, \u200eGrand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani emphasized on a comprehensive \u200econfrontation against false beliefs and sects and stated, \u201cWe must always strengthen \u200eour strongholds against false religions and not let our children to be deviated.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

The prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom referred to the widespread \u200eefforts by deviated sects, such as Baha\u2019ism, and said, \u201cDuring all ages there have been \u200edeviated sects and they also exist in the present time. Even during the time of the \u200ebeloved Prophet Muhammad, there are some individuals who made claims of \u200eprophethood or other claims and misled people.\u201d \u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani emphasized, \u201cHuman beings never become calm and there are \u200ealways those who seek to deviate society and it\u2019s our duty to not to allow our children \u200eto be deviated. For this reason, I believe the best way to succeed in this path is to be \u200eproperly educated and if we speak with logic, it has much greater influence.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

In another part of his remarks, His Eminence referred to the verse of the Holy Quran: \u200e\u200e\u201cSay, \u2018Produce your evidence, should you be truthful<\/em>\u2019\u201d [2:111] and mentioned, \u201cThe \u200eHoly Quran tells the disbelievers and those who have deviated from the path of \u200erighteousness that if they speak truthfully, they must explain with proof and logic. The \u200efact is that if we can move forward with reason and logic, no one can speak and \u200equestion and undermine the basic tenets of our religion.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

He pointed to the need to invest in the younger generation and the need for financial \u200esupport from institutions for this purpose and added, \u201cWe need to create defences for \u200eour beliefs among our children and explain deviated sects, such as Wahhabism and \u200eBaha\u2019ism, to the youth in order to prevent them from going astray in the future.\u201d\u200e

\nAyatollah Alavi-Gorgani noted, \u201cAt the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, we formed \u200ea group in Tehran and explained these issues to them during a series of ideological, \u200escientific and theological discussions until they reached a point themselves and later \u200ewhen the Tudeh Party sought to divert the youth in Tehran, we sent the same educated \u200eindividuals to counter them at the request of Imam Khomeyni and they made many \u200esuccesses.\u201d\u200e
