{"id":18288,"date":"2020-01-14T05:34:13","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T05:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=18288"},"modified":"2020-01-14T05:34:13","modified_gmt":"2020-01-14T05:34:13","slug":"expert-hails-addition-of-tarteel-category-to-iran-intl-quran-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/expert-hails-addition-of-tarteel-category-to-iran-intl-quran-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Expert Hails Addition of Tarteel Category to Iran Int\u2019l Quran Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"subtitle\">TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 An Iranian veteran Quran activist hailed the move by the organizing committee of Iran\u2019s International Holy Quran Competition to add the category of Tarteel to the contest.<\/div>\n<div class=\"body ah_body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 37th edition of Iran\u2019s International Holy Quran Competition will be held in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad in spring.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition, a new category, namely Tarteel recitation of the Quran, will be included in the contest.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to IQNA, Mahmoud Lotfinia described the move as a positive one, saying that among other things, it will help to promote Tarteel recitation.<\/p>\n<p>He added that it will also serve to introduce to the Muslim world the talents in the field of Tarteel recitation.<\/p>\n<p>Lotfinia also noted that while Tahghigh recitation is more common in countries like Egypt, Malaysia and Indonesia, Tarteel is also very popular in many Muslim countries, especially in Arab nations.<\/p>\n<p>Tarteel is the Arabic word for hymnody.
