TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary of Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani blasted the German government’s hostile action in designating the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, as a terrorist organization.<\/div>\n

“Sellers of the chemical weapons to Saddam have become human rights defenders, fearing of their child-killing friend, called Hezbollah, terrorist,” Shamkhani wrote on his Twitter account while referring to the German government’s move to term Hezbollah a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

“Iran has removed the mask from the face of main supporters of terrorism,” he added.<\/p>\n

Shamkhani, meantime, said that the ISIL did not reach Europe because it was stuck behind the walls of resistance such as that of the Lebanese Hezbollah.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, German government banned all of Hezbollah\u2019s activities in the country and ordered assaults on sites\u00a0claimed to be linked to the movement.<\/p>\n

The German Interior Ministry, which has issued the ban, says four mosques and cultural associations were assaulted, in addition to private homes of Hezbollah\u2019s board members, treasurers and tax advisers.<\/p>\n

In relevant remarks on Friday, Iranian Parliament Speaker’s Special Advisor for International Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian lashed out at the German ban on Lebanon\u2019s Hezbollah, saying the country\u2019s following of nasty American-Zionist policies is a menace to Berlin\u2019s regional interests.<\/p>\n

\u201cGermany’s measure of labeling Lebanese Hezbollah as terrorist is a strategic mistake. Hezbollah is an important part of Lebanese society which guarantees security and territorial integrity, and it is part of the Lebanese government and parliament,\u201d Amir-Abdollahian tweeted.<\/p>\n

The official added that copying the nasty policies of the US and the Zionist regime by Germany will imperil its interest in the region.<\/p>\n

In relevant remarks on Thursday, Iran strongly denounced Germany for labeling the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah as a \u201cterrorist organization\u201d and warned Berlin over the repercussions of the move in the combat against terrorism in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems that certain European countries take stances with no consideration for the realities in West Asia,\u201d Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Mousavi said the German government\u2019s blacklisting of Hezbollah will only serve \u201cthe goals of the Zionist regime\u2019s propaganda machine and that of the dumfounded US regime.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that Berlin\u2019s decision totally \u201cinsults\u201d the Lebanese government and nation, as Hezbollah is a \u201clegitimate and official part of the country\u2019s government and parliament\u201d.<\/p>\n
