In a letter to the religious and spiritual leaders of India, Ayatollah Arafi announced his \u200ereadiness for religious and academic cooperation and considered preparedness for religious \u200eand academic cooperation as a correct and rational explanation of the elites\u2019 mission.\u200e<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
RNA \u2013 In a letter to the religious and spiritual leaders of India, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the \u200edirector of Islamic Seminaries of Iran, referred to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in \u200edifferent countries of the world, while expressing sympathy with the victims of all religions \u200eand nations of the world and expressed hope that all disasters and unrest in the world, \u200eespecially in India, would be over.\u200e<\/p>\n

Emphasizing the necessity of following the doctors\u2019 recommendations in dealing with the \u200eoutbreak of the Coronavirus, he called such disasters a divine examination which leads to the \u200eevolution and insight of man and ascendancy into resurrection and God Almighty, and said, \u200e\u200e\u201cExplaining the correctness and rationality of such incidents and how to deal with them and \u200eavoiding the unrealistic bipolarity of science and religion is one of the duties of the elites and \u200eofficials, in regard to which religious leaders and scholars have a double responsibility.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Arafi said that countering this challenge and other contemporary crises such as \u200einjustice, undue discrimination, inhumane sanctions, environmental crises, war, terrorism and \u200ethe production and possession of weapons of mass destruction requires international \u200econsensus, cooperation and a comprehensive response to the irresponsible policies of some \u200ehegemonic countries and unilateralist laws and the comprehensive fight against corruption, \u200ediscrimination, sanctions, anti-justice and morality and spirituality and sincere adherence to \u200ecommon human and religious teachings. \u200e<\/p>\n

The Friday prayer leader of Qom added, \u201cTrue religious leaders have always stood and will \u200estand on their devotion and covenant with the absolute essence of existence and service to \u200ehumanity. These days, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, we are witnessing indescribable \u200emanifestations of voluntary movements and extensive cooperation between the government \u200eand various segments of the nation, including the clergy, Islamic Seminaries, religious \u200eleaders, students of religious sciences and relief workers who are led by religious authorities \u200e\u200e(sources of emulation) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah \u200eKhamenei]. We are Islamic and we are proud of this heavenly bond.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n

At the end of the letter, Ayatollah Arafi emphasized, \u201cThe Islamic Seminaries, elders, \u200eteachers and students are ready to exchange academic, research, cultural and relief \u200eexperiences, especially in the online field, a new chapter of consensus and cooperation with \u200einternational academic centres and religious centers and leaders of religions and countries of \u200ethe world, especially the religious and spiritual leaders of India, should start with this \u200econversation and interaction to form a single line of religions in the service of humanity and \u200ebuild a new religious and spiritual civilization.\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
