Hujjat al-Islam al-Khatib called for the severance of relations and the confrontation with any \u200eattempt to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

RNA \u2013 Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Khatib, the deputy \u200espeaker of the Lebanese Shi\u2019ah Islamic \u200eAssembly, said, \u201cThe judiciary must intensify its investigation because what happened in this \u200ecountry has killed hundreds and injured thousands, as well as causing a lot of damage. It\u2019s \u200enecessary to reveal the names of the perpetrators and those responsible for this explosion \u200eand to rebuild and heal the injured.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

His Eminence acknowledged, \u201cWe consider the victims of this incident as martyrs and once \u200eagain offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy \u200erecovery. We call on the Lebanese people to stand together in the face of the consequences \u200eof this tragedy and to extend a helping hand to the brothers. We also regret the abuse of \u200esome politicians who use the blood of the martyrs to incite the people against the Islamic \u200eResistance [Hezbollah]. Instead of cooperating in this situation, these people are trying to \u200edistort the reality and incite sedition in favour of the Zionist regime through social networks \u200eand creating sedition.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

He stated, \u201cWe appreciate the resilient people of Lebanon on the anniversary of the victory \u200eof the July War [2006 33-Day War], which proved that there is unity between the people and \u200ethe army and the Islamic Resistance, and we should know that the enemies are lurking and \u200eonly unity can protect it from the enmity of this regime.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Referring to the plan to normalize relations with the Zionist regime, Hujjat al-Islam al-Khatib \u200estated, \u201cWe condemn the normalization of relations with this regime and call for the \u200eseverance of ties and efforts to portray them as a friend and declare that this regime is \u200eracist, colonialist, seditionist and conspiratorial in the world.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Lebanese Shi\u2019ah scholar added, \u201cIt\u2019s necessary to form a government of national \u200esalvation as soon as possible and to consolidate national unity, implement reforms, \u200eeconomic progress, preserve the value of the currency, political and social stability and \u200erestore the people\u2019s trust in the fight against corruption. It\u2019s also necessary to punish the \u200eperpetrators of the explosion and to help rebuild and repair the damage.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

He added, \u201cWe appreciate and thank the friendly and brotherly countries for helping the \u200eLebanese people and healing their wounds and we hope that other countries will take steps \u200ein this direction to help Lebanon.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

He said, \u201cIn the face of escalating the Coronavirus as a result of recklessness and indifference to \u200epreventive measures to limit the spread of the epidemic, it\u2019s necessary for people to refrain \u200efrom gathering. We call on the people to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health and \u200ethe relevant authorities to limit the spread of the virus in the country so that the country \u200edoesn\u2019t suffer from new crises and epidemics.\u201d\u200e<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n
