{"id":20770,"date":"2020-11-18T05:16:59","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T05:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=20770"},"modified":"2020-11-18T05:16:59","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T05:16:59","slug":"syria-intercepts-israeli-aggression-over-damascus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/syria-intercepts-israeli-aggression-over-damascus\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria Intercepts Israeli Aggression over Damascus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"subtitle\">TEHRAN (IQNA) \u2013 Syrian\u2019s air defenses confronted an Israeli aggression over the capital Damascus, the country\u2019s media said, also reporting a number of casualties.<\/div>\n<div class=\"body ah_body\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_btn\" title=\"Syria Intercepts Israeli Aggression over Damascus\" src=\"https:\/\/iqna.ir\/files\/en\/news\/2020\/11\/18\/64692_158.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"\" height=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>State news agency SANA reported early on Wednesday that the air defense units of the Syrian army had successfully intercepted the aggression from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights over Damascus&#8217; airspace.<\/p>\n<p>There were no official reports of damage or casualties, however, a Syrian military source told SANA that the assault had led to the martyrdom of three soldiers and the injury of another.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli military confirmed in a rare statement that it had launched airstrikes on Syrian targets inside the Arab country, according to Press TV.<\/p>\n<p>Israel frequently targets military positions inside Syria, especially those of the resistance movement Hezbollah which has played a key role in helping the Syrian army in its fight against foreign-backed terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>The Arab country has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011.
