However, the latest move is said to have financial motives \u2013 further blurring the lines between hacktivism and cybercrime.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Omri Segev Moyal, CEO of the cybersecurity firm Profero, claimed that \u201cThe Iranian attack has been in the works for months, and is only growing and continuing to inflict damage on the \u2018Israeli\u2019 market. Much like the tit-for-tat dynamic of war,\u201d he told Haaretz.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cThe \u2018Israeli\u2019 economy is the &#8216;home&#8217; front in this war, and we need to defend it,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cWinter is coming,\u201d Segev Moyal tweeted in an attempt to warn others in the Zionist entity.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cWe cannot and should not underestimate them,\u201d said Segev Moyal, adding that \u201cmost of the \u2018Israeli\u2019 market is not prepared to deal with such an attack.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>But what do cyber-experts mean when they talk about ideologically driven cybercrime? We spoke to the team that first managed to locate Pay2Key and linked it back to Iran to try to understand.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Pay2Key was discovered in November in a joint research project by two \u2018Israeli\u2019 cybersecurity firms, Check Point and Whitestream. Initially, the group was thought to be another band of cybercriminals active in the field of ransomware, albeit a very advanced one.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The hacker group was extremely careful to delete its tracks.
