{"id":22049,"date":"2020-12-21T04:15:07","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T04:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=22049"},"modified":"2020-12-21T04:15:07","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T04:15:07","slug":"leader-commends-nurses-for-heroic-sacrifices-in-covid-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/leader-commends-nurses-for-heroic-sacrifices-in-covid-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Leader commends nurses for heroic sacrifices in COVID times"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"title mt-4\">Leader Lauds Iranian Nurses&#8217; Efforts in Combating COVID-19<\/h2>\n<div class=\"img-title mt-3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"w-100\" src=\"https:\/\/media.farsnews.ir\/Uploaded\/Files\/Images\/1399\/09\/30\/13990930000681_Test_PhotoN.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"lead p-2 mt-2\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei hailed the role played by the Iranian nurses in combatting and curbing the deadly coronavirus disease.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The Leader made the remarks on the occasion Nurse Day in Iran which is held on the occasion of the the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zaynab (PBUH),\u00a0the daughter of\u00a0the first Shiite Imam, Imam Ali (PBUH).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated the\u00a0birth anniversary of Hazrat Zaynab (PBUH),\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The Suprme Leader, meantime, congratulated the nurses on Nurse Day while\u00a0extending his\u00a0condolences to the families of the nurses who lost their lives in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>&#8220;I congratulate all nurses on the National Day of Nurses &#8212; which is named so after Lady Zeinab (PBUH) &#8212; and I feel it my duty to express my condolences to the dear and respected families of nurses who lost their loved ones to the COVID-19,&#8221; Ayatollah Khamenei said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Referring to the great work that nurses are doing in containing the spread of deadly diseases at the present juncture, Ayatollah Khamenei\u00a0said that their heroic work made people realize the importance and high value of their jobs.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>&#8220;Nurses are the angels of mercy for the patients. This is a true metaphor and not an exaggeration at all. Nurses take care of both the body and soul of the patient. Nurses are in fact sympathize with, caress, and comfort the patient,&#8221; he added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The Supreme Leader said that nurses\u00a0are medics&#8217; partners and colleagues, adding, &#8220;If a patient who requires a nurse receives medical care from the best\u00a0physicians\u00a0but no nurse is present to support him\/her, the patient&#8217;s recovery will be very difficult.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>&#8220;During the COVID-19\u00a0epidemic, our nurses have sacrificed in a way that has astounded everyone! (Photo by Leader.ir)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed his\u00a0gratitude towards the country\u2019s nursing staff for their enormous sacrifices during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The Leader made the remarks in a live televised address on Sunday on the occasion of the National Nurses Day that falls on the birth anniversary of Zeynab (AS), granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Ayatollah Khamenei felicitated nurses on the occasion, while also condoling with the nursing community, which has lost many of its\u00a0frontline personnel in the fight against COVID-19.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>\u201cToday, nurses are dearer and more honorable in the eyes of the nation than ever before,\u201d the Leader noted.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>\u201cNurses are the angels of mercy for patients. This is a true definition, not an exaggeration by any means,\u201d Ayatollah Khamenei said.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The Leader said that as part of their profession, nurses tend to both the patient&#8217;s\u00a0body\u00a0and soul, which is a remarkable\u00a0role.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Ayatollah Khamenei considered such endeavor towards the alleviation of a human being\u2019s pain as \u201cone of the most beautiful spectacles in\u00a0life.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The nurses have been consistently\u00a0present\u00a0at hospitals and medical centers during the year-long outbreak, putting\u00a0their own lives at risk, the Leader remarked. \u201cTo be fair, our nursing community performed an enormous task during this period.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Ayatollah Khamenei said prior to the emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak, people would not attach as much importance to the nursing profession as they do now. \u201cHowever, this is not enough,\u201d the Leader said, advising the authorities to revisit the significance they ascribe to the venerable profession.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The virus that swept the country soon after its emergence in central China, has so far infected more than 1.1 million Iranians, including over 53,000\u00a0who have lost their lives.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The sheer extent of the outbreak has overstretched Iran\u2019s medical staff.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The already uphill battle has been compounded by sweeping sanctions imposed by the United States, which prevent the entry of much-needed medicine\u00a0and other medical supplies into the country, including the much-needed coronavirus vaccines.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>However, Iran has successfully mobilized all of its resources &#8212; with assistance from the military\u00a0sector \u2013 and has managed to reign in the viral outbreak to a reasonable extent.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The national anti-virus drive has seen the enforcement of\u00a0large-scale health protocols and restrictions throughout the country.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/wilayahh\"><strong>https:\/\/t.me\/wilayahh<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/F65qRYlNhDJEA3u38Qid0N\"><strong>https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/F65qRYlNhDJEA3u38Qid0N<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leader Lauds Iranian Nurses&#8217; Efforts in Combating COVID-19 TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei hailed the role played by the Iranian nurses in combatting and curbing the deadly coronavirus disease.
