In an interview with al-Nour radio station on Friday, Head of Hezbollah Executive Council His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Saffiedine tackled both domestic and regional issues.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sayyed Saffiedine discussed the repeated \u201cIsraeli\u201d aggression on Lebanon saying, \u201cNo one can exclude the possibility of an \u201cIsraeli\u201d aggression at this time. This isn\u2019t for intimidation, but for holding responsibility\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe current existing equation with the enemy is response to any targeting\u201d, His Eminence said, asserting that \u201cOne of the equation\u2019s result is that the \u2018Israeli\u2019 enemy remains standing on a leg and a half [on alert]\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Head of Hezbollah Executive Council said, \u201cIf we are able to keep \u2018Israel\u2019 in a state of fear and anticipation, then this at a minimum level would prevent its heinous crimes\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

His Eminence went on to say that the \u201cThe American was disappointed and did not achieve his goal. We have said from the beginning that the sanctions are fruitless and won\u2019t weaken Hezbollah and its resistance\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sayyed Saffiedine shed light on the Lebanese people\u2019s choice of resistance which \u201cis linked to our existence, culture, values and future\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018Israeli\u2019 thought that as a result of the economic crisis, Lebanon would rush to offer concessions on the border demarcation file. However, \u2018Israel\u2019 found the opposite\u201d His Eminence added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sayyed Saffiedine asserted Hezbollah\u2019s belief that the group used to and still believe that \u201cthe atmosphere doesn\u2019t pave the way for a major war, especially with the imminent departure of Trump and the internal political crises in the \u2018Israeli\u2019 entity\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, His Eminence said \u201cthe enemy failed in its battle with Hezbollah because it is now forced to search for alternative schemes and options\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding the maritime border demarcation, Sayyed Saffiedine said that these negotiations should not mean normalization.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe did everything necessary to accelerate the formation of the Lebanese government as soon as possible\u201d, the Hezbollah leader said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding the economic situation in Lebanon, Sayyed Saffiedine said that it was \u201cproduced the Lebanese themselves with some push from abroad\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

His Eminence hailed Iranian General Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani as the pioneer in fighting the Daesh Wahhabi Group saying, \u201cThe Iraqi people, the PMU, and their army have destroyed Daesh, but the first man who took the initiative was Hajj Qassem Soleimani\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Also in the interview, Sayyed Saffiedine asserted that, \u201cIf some sides want to push Hezbollah under different headings in the wrong directions, let them know that we know our size and reality, and we only move within a program that serves the nation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLebanon can neither tolerate coups, nor can it accept forced solutions\u201d, the Hezbollah Leader said regarding the situation in Lebanon, adding \u201cThe economic war from abroad is ongoing and it won\u2019t have an impact if the Lebanese close the doors to it\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sayyed Saffiedine said, \u201cOur option is to defend this country and we must protect it so that it is not infiltrated by \u2018Israel\u2019 and others\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In a parallel platform, His Eminence reassured the Lebanese that \u201cwe will not leave the Lebanese to starve, and we insist on that. This plan is not born today,\u201d adding, \u201cOur people\u2019s choice of resistance is linked to our existence, culture, values and future\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Accordingly, he warned, \u201cThe Beirut Port explosion is a major humanitarian and national disaster. Its consequences will extend to this day and for the coming years\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
