TEHRAN, Jan. 29 (MNA) \u2013 Following a directive from the Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 1,000 strategic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were integrated today into the operational structure of the Army\u2019s four service branches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The newly integrated\u00a0UAVs have been developed in line with emerging security threats and operational lessons learned from the recent 12\u2011day war. The systems were produced by Army specialists in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

Designed across multiple operational categories\u2014including strike, offensive, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare\u2014the drones are intended for the engagement of specific fixed and mobile targets across maritime, aerial, and ground domains.<\/p>\n

Following the integration of ground\u2011based and sea\u2011based UAVs, Army chief Major General Amir Hatami emphasized that maintaining and enhancing strategic advantages remains a standing priority for the Army. He stated that preparedness for rapid combat operations and decisive responses to any form of aggression continues to guide the Army\u2019s defense planning in accordance with anticipated threats.<\/p>\n

Due to military security considerations, no images of the integrated\u00a0UAVs have been released.<\/p>\n
