According to a recent\u00a0Wall Street Journal\u00a0<\/em>report, the US, emboldened by itss military operation in Venezuela, is seeking\u00a0to engineer\u00a0regime change in Cuba<\/a>\u00a0by the end of 2026, targeting insiders within the\u00a0Cuban government<\/a>\u00a0who may be willing to collaborate.<\/p>\n

Trump signs executive order on Cuba<\/h2>\n

The executive order, released Thursday by the White House, outlines the administration\u2019s justification for the declaration, claiming that the threat stems largely from foreign sources outside the United States.<\/p>\n

“NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the situation with respect to Cuba constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat, which has its source in whole or substantial part outside the United States, to the national security and foreign policy of the United States and hereby declare a national emergency with respect to that threat,” the order states.<\/p>\n
