\nWhat is raised under the banner of \u201cwomen\u2019s rights,\u201d such as the matters mentioned above and others, should not cause you to surrender in imitation of others\u2014even at the expense of religion.<\/p>\n
Rather, these matters should be presented before the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Whatever they accept, we accept with pride; whatever they reject, we reject with dignity.
\nWe accept no religion other than the religion of Allah.<\/p>\n
O noble sister\u2026
\nIf deviations, injustice, or corruption occur in society, we must all unite to reform, deter, and resist them.<\/p>\n
This is our duty. Islam has defended the human being, honored him, elevated him, and entrusted him with responsibility\u2014without dividing humanity into a \u201ccamp\u201d of women and a \u201ccamp\u201d of men.<\/p>\n
Oppression against society is oppression against all. Wrongdoing is not confined to one group against another. What women suffer in our society is not separate from what men suffer.<\/p>\n
Both share in the usurped and diminished rights resulting from the direct and indirect domination of enemies over our affairs and authorities.<\/p>\n
Thus, all people of truth\u2014men and women\u2014must refute all people of falsehood\u2014men and women.
\nAllah has made the people of truth adversaries to the people of falsehood; He did not make women enemies of men.<\/p>\n
If misconduct or abuse occurs, it stems from weakness of faith and commitment. Its solution lies in calling people back to Islam and encouraging them toward it.<\/p>\n
Islam has never treated women as a separate \u201cissue\u201d nor adopted the divisive method followed in Western thought. Islam deals with women as human beings\u2014morally responsible and accountable\u2014without distinction between them and men in obligations and duties.<\/p>\n
Women\u2019s rights in Islam are part of the rights of all creation\u2014women, men, children, boys, and girls alike.<\/p>\n

\nEnough debate over issues that hide behind the slogan of \u201cwomen\u2019s rights.\u201d Enough\u2014not only out of concern for the honored Muslim woman whom Allah has protected, but also out of fairness to Islam, which has been subjected to much slander and injustice\u2014often indirectly, when direct attacks are not possible.<\/p>\n
How often have we heard that a \u201cliberated\u201d woman is one who does not marry early, does not bear many children, cannot be \u201ccontrolled\u201d by her husband, leaves her home whenever she wishes, and frees herself from her husband\u2019s authority\u2014since she is not a servant in the house!
\nBy this, they intend to attack Islam\u2026 along with accusations and illusions from which it is as innocent as the wolf was of the blood of Jacob\u2019s son.<\/p>\n
O my sister\u2026
\nThere is something that puzzles me, and I have yet to find an answer:
\nIf those who demand \u201cwomen\u2019s rights\u201d are sincere, why do they not at least launch a media campaign against beauty pageants in all their forms and the degradation they entail?<\/p>\n
Why do they not confront the cheap physical exploitation of women in the media, indecent imagery, immoral \u201cartistic\u201d gatherings, widespread corruption, growing shamelessness, and escalating humiliation?<\/p>\n
If these are not part of \u201cwomen\u2019s rights,\u201d then why the silence?<\/p>\n
Indeed, there are signs that some of you support them\u2014sometimes participate in them\u2014sometimes even initiate them!
\nThe media and reality testify to this.
\nAnd if these matters are part of \u201cwomen\u2019s rights,\u201d then tell us so plainly.
\nThen every matter will have its proper discussion.<\/p>\n
