Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari was governing Medina on behalf of Ali at that time. Abu Ayyub fled from them, and Basr came to Medina and ascended the pulpit, saying: “O people of Medina! By God, if Muawiyah had not assigned me to this task, I would not have left a single oppressor alive.” Then Basr proceeded to Yemen, which was under Ubaydullah ibn Abbas as Ali’s governor. When the governor learned of his approach, he fled to Kufa until he reached Ali. Ali appointed Abdullah ibn Abd al-Madan al-Harithi as governor of Yemen. Basr reached him, killed him and his son, and met Ubaydullah ibn Abbas’ heavy army, killing his two young sons. Some people said that he found the sons of Ubaydullah ibn Abbas with a man from Banu Kinanah in the desert. When he intended to kill them, the Kinanite man said: “Why kill these two? They are innocent. If you are going to kill them, kill me first.” Basr said: “Do it.” So he killed the Kinanite man first, then the two boys, and in his march he killed many of Ali’s followers in Yemen. When Ali sent Jariyah ibn Qaddahah to pursue him, he fled” (2).
These are glimpses of the objectives, characteristics, and methods of the Umayyad state. There is no difference between Muawiyah, Saddam Hussein, and Hitler. For all of them, the end justifies the means. Indeed, one might even say that Ibn Akilat al-Akbad, despite his proximity to prophethood, bore greater guilt than Saddam Hussein, who killed
(1) History of Nations and Kings by Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, 4/104.
(2) Ibid, 4/107.
Women and the use of chemical weapons to kill innocents. Saddam Hussein did not see the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family), nor hear from him, nor claim, as some historians assert, to be a writer of revelation, among other claims where truth is mocked by falsehood.
2 – Address of the Leadership of the Legitimate Nation: “And fight them until there is no more fitnah (trial or civil strife) and the religion is for Allah.”
On the other side was the camp of truth—the legitimate leadership of the Islamic nation, the leadership of Ahl al-Bayt, represented at that time by Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), striving to preserve Islam in its pure and unadulterated form.
This was the true goal for which every sacrifice became worthwhile. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and those around him were a constellation of the devoted believers among the companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Ibn Abi al-Hadid, in his Explanation of Nahj al-Balagha, quoting The Book of Siffin by Nasr ibn Muzahim, narrated:
“Ali (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon at Siffin, praising and glorifying God, and then said: ‘As for what follows: Arrogance comes from pride, and chivalry comes from conceit, and Satan is a present enemy, promising falsehood. However, a Muslim is a brother to another Muslim, so do not attack or dispute except that the laws of religion are one, and its paths are directed. Whoever follows them is rightly guided; whoever deviates is in error; whoever abandons them has strayed. A Muslim is not a betrayer when entrusted, nor does he break a promise, nor lies when he speaks. We are people between mercy; our word is truth, and our deeds’” (23).

In the Footsteps of Al-Hussain (peace be upon him) – Dr. Ahmad Rassim Al-Nafis And when night fell, Al-Dahhak and his companions fled, while Basr and those with him returned (1). **4 – In the year 40 AH, Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan sent Ibn Abi Artah with three thousand soldiers to the Hejaz, and they …

[1486

post-29092","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-islam-and-life--
["GET
