The Aerospace Force of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded to what it described as Israel\u2019s violation of the ceasefire and its brutal attacks on Lebanon, which today also targeted Beirut\u2019s southern suburbs.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued Sunday evening, June 7, 2026, following the launch of three waves of ballistic missiles toward Israel, the IRGC said: \u201cIn response to the extensive crimes committed by the Zionist entity in southern Lebanon, including the killing and widespread displacement of civilians in the areas of Tyre, Nabatieh, and other regions\u2014including the southern suburbs of Beirut\u2014the Aerospace Force of the Guard targeted the \u2018Ramat David\u2019 airbase, which served as the launch point for these attacks, with ballistic missiles.\u201d<\/p>\n
It added: \u201cOur acceptance of the ceasefire was conditional on a halt to hostilities on all fronts. However, the United States and Israel, as usual, did not abide by their commitments. They continued their attacks and military actions in Lebanon and also violated the ceasefire through repeated actions against Iranian coasts and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.\u201d<\/p>\n
