**[The Reward of Performing Ablution Like the Ablution of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and Saying What He Said]**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Muhammad ibn al\u2011Hasan narrated to me. He said: Muhammad ibn al\u2011Hasan al\u2011Saffar narrated to me from \u2018Ali ibn Hassan al\u2011Wasiti, from his uncle \u2018Abd al\u2011Rahman ibn Kathir al\u2011Hashimi, the client of Muhammad ibn \u2018Ali, from Abu \u2018Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

One day, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) was sitting with Ibn al\u2011Hanafiyyah when he said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cO Muhammad, bring me a \u0638\u0631\u0641 (container) of water so that I may perform ablution for prayer.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Muhammad brought him the water. He poured water with his right hand over his left hand and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cIn the Name of Allah. Praise be to Allah who made water purifying and did not make it impure.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he cleansed himself and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, fortify my chastity, protect it, conceal my nakedness, and forbid the Fire to me.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he rinsed his mouth and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, teach me my proof on the Day I meet You, and loosen my tongue with Your remembrance.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he sniffed water into his nose and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, do not deprive me of the fragrance of Paradise, and make me among those who smell its fragrance, its comfort, its sweet scent, and its goodness.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he washed his face and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, brighten my face on the Day when faces are darkened, and do not darken my face on the Day when faces are brightened.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he washed his right hand and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, give me my record in my right hand, and eternal life in the gardens in my left, and reckon me with an easy account.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he washed his left hand and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, do not give me my record in my left hand, nor place it shackled to my neck; and I seek refuge in You from the severing flames of the Fire.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he wiped his head and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, envelop me in Your mercy, Your blessings, and Your pardon.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he wiped his feet and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> **\u201cO Allah, make me firm upon the Path on the Day when feet slip, and make my striving in that which pleases You, O Most Merciful of the merciful.\u201d**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he raised his head and looked at Muhammad and said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cO Muhammad, whoever performs ablution like my ablution and says what I have said, Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, creates from every drop an angel who sanctifies Him, glorifies Him, and magnifies Him; and Allah records for him the reward of that until the Day of Resurrection.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
