{"id":8519,"date":"2014-04-14T13:31:59","date_gmt":"2014-04-14T13:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=8519"},"modified":"2020-10-26T03:49:51","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T03:49:51","slug":"canada-criminalises-criticism-of-israel-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/canada-criminalises-criticism-of-israel-analyst\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada criminalises criticism of Israel: Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"divLead2\">\n<p><strong>The pro-Israel Canadian government is modifying the country\u2019s criminal code to ban any criticism of the Zionist regime for atrocities against Palestinians, an analyst says.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a column for Press TV website, Brandon Martinez has analyzed the proposed cyber-bullying law (Bill C-13) by the administration of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Zionist ruling clique of Canada, through their front-man Stephen Harper, is seeking to beef up the already-existing Orwellian \u2018hate propaganda\u2019 law, which has been primarily used to curtail criticism of Zionists and Israel,\u201d wrote Martinez.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He said Canada\u2019s criminal code is to ban criticism or promotion of \u201chatred\u201d against people distinguished by \u201cnational origin.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis means, say, if you condemn Israelis for their inhumane treatment of Palestinians, you could find yourself in court facing down the self-appointed thought police and commissars of political correctness,\u201d wrote Martinez.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He singled out the case of German-Canadian publisher, Ernst Zundel, who has been facing court and jail due to his criticism of Zionists who are \u201cthe self-appointed architects of public discourse, the self-declared arbiters of truth and morality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The analyst said the Canadian police have refused to provide any protection to Zundel, whose Toronto home has been \u201ctorched by Zionist terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZundel\u2019s story is a testament to the power and control of Jewish extremists in Canada,\u201d wrote Martinez.<\/p>\n<p>Harper is under criticism for its violations of the rights of indigenous peoples in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Many native Canadians remain among the poorest members of the Canadian society, with most of them suffering poor educational, economic and social conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.presstv.ir\/detail\/2014\/04\/11\/358137\/canada-criminalizes-criticism-of-israel\/\">Press TV<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pro-Israel Canadian government is modifying the country\u2019s criminal code to ban any criticism of the Zionist regime for atrocities against Palestinians, an analyst says.
