Hujjat al-Islam Mohsin Qara\u2019ati, in a gathering of highly qualified commentators of the Holy Quran, at the Ayatollah Golpaygani Islamic Seminary, spoke about the importance of paying more attention to the Quran and the commentaries of the Quran.<\/p>\n
The highly respected teacher of the Islamic seminary explained the importance of making Quranic discussions more appealing for the people. He stated: \u201cThe teachers must always take into account the situation of the society in their commentaries of the Quran for the commentaries to be appealing. This is because some think that language full of formalities should be used to show the grandness of the Quran when in fact the Quran and the Ahlulbayt (s) should be presented in a simple and coherent manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stressing the lack of attention given towards the divine scripture, Hujjat al-Islam Qara\u2019ati stated: \u201cEven in the month of Ramadhan<\/em> and the nights of Qadr<\/em> this divine book has been forsaken as two hours are spent on the supplication Jawshan al-Kabir<\/em>, lamentations and speeches, however, in many of the mosques of this nation, there is lack of attention towards understanding the commentary of the Quran.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe Quran must regain its rightful place and we must create a program for the understanding of the concepts of the Quran. We should not just plan to make a series in the month of Ramadhan<\/em>, rather we must begin planning for a program for the understanding of the concepts of the Quran from now.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Hujjat al-Islam Mohsin Qara\u2019ati finished this segment of his talk with emphasising the importance of training more teachers specializing in the commentary of the Quran. \u201cThere was a time when the doors of the universities were closed for the commentaries of the Quran, however, now that they ask for classes on the commentaries of the Quran, we do not have teachers for it.
