{"id":8946,"date":"2014-05-12T10:24:22","date_gmt":"2014-05-12T10:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=8946"},"modified":"2014-05-12T12:03:43","modified_gmt":"2014-05-12T12:03:43","slug":"members-of-anti-shia-terrorist-group-found-guilty-for-edgware-road-attacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/members-of-anti-shia-terrorist-group-found-guilty-for-edgware-road-attacks\/","title":{"rendered":"Members of anti-Shia terrorist group found guilty for Edgware Road attacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"row1\" class=\"tmRow span-16-5 article-page\">\n<div class=\"tmCol span-16 col-1\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<div id=\"row1\" class=\"tmRow span-15-5 col-1 article-page\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<div class=\"tmCol article\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<div class=\"styleGroup \" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<div class=\"sharewrap\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-widget=\"tm.share.shareBar tm.omniture.omniLinkTracking\" data-share-url=\"http:\/\/www.getwestlondon.co.uk\/news\/local-news\/islamic-members-anti-shiite-terrorist-group-7091514\" data-context=\"share-bar-6807051\" data-tweet-via=\"GetWestLondon\" data-friendly-name=\"Share Bar Link Click\" data-max-times-to-track-links=\"5\">\n<ul class=\"shareButtons\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<li class=\"sharePrefix\" style=\"color: #ffffff; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Five men affiliated to the Sunni Muslim, Al Muhajiroun terrorist group<\/span><span style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">\u00a0were found guilty of attacking Shia Muslims in Edgware Road<\/span><span style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">\u00a0a year ago<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<footer style=\"color: #594d4d;\">\n<div class=\"styleGroup span-24 last\" style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">A group of Islamic protesters who abused the Shia Muslim community in Edgware Road during a demonstration against the Syria conflict have been found guilty of violent disorder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">The five men, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found guilty yesterday (May 8) following an 11 day\u00a0trial\u00a0at the Old Bailey.<\/p>\n<p>Four of the men were found guilty of violent disorder while the other was found guilty of affray.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">The court heard how on May 10, 2013, there had been a protest in Edgware Road, Westminster, which included members affiliated to the British based Salafi-Wahhabi Islamist terrorist organisation, Al Muhajiroun, or ALM, which is banned under the UK Terrorism Act.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Meetings and demonstrations held by the Sunni terrorist group were also attended by Michael Adebolajo who killed British Army\u00a0soldier, Lee Rigby, in the horrific Woolwich attack just 12 days after the protest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Protesters made their way along Edgware Road as they demonstrated against the Syria conflict, also protesting against Shia Muslims and chanting sectarian slogans while carrying offensive banners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">The abuse was directed towards the large Shia community in Edgware Road and the surrounding area\u00a0which ended in an attack on two members of the public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Both victims were beaten to the floor as they were punched, kicked and hit with the wooden placards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Bystanders and members of the media filmed the events which allowed police officers\u00a0to identify the suspects who were then arrested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Commander Duncan Ball, head of the Met Police&#8217;s Counter Terrorism\u00a0Command SO15, said: &#8220;These individuals were intent on causing disorder in the local community and committing violence against individuals.
