{"id":9343,"date":"2014-06-14T23:23:49","date_gmt":"2014-06-14T23:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/?p=9343"},"modified":"2014-06-14T23:23:49","modified_gmt":"2014-06-14T23:23:49","slug":"iraqi-forces-find-equipment-from-gulf-countries-in-isil-hideouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilayah.info\/en\/iraqi-forces-find-equipment-from-gulf-countries-in-isil-hideouts\/","title":{"rendered":"Iraqi forces find equipment from Gulf countries in ISIL hideouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Iraqi forces have found equipment made by Arab countries of the Persian Gulf in Takfiri militants\u2019 hideouts, Iraqi state TV says.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The country\u2019s security forces found the equipment in hideouts belonging to the al-Qaeda splinter Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Salah al-Din province, reports said on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The equipment belonged to the Peninsula Shield Force, the military side of the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council ([P]GCC), which consists of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p>Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has blamed Saudi Arabia and Qatar for the security crisis and growing terrorism in his country, denouncing the Al Saud regime as a major supporter of global terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>On June 10, the ISIL militants took control of Nineveh province, including its provincial capital Mosul, in a lightning advance, which followed the fall of Tikrit, located 140 kilometers (87 miles) northwest of the capital Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced out of their homes since the time.<\/p>\n<p>Maliki has said that the country\u2019s security forces would confront the terrorists, calling Mosul seizure a \u201cconspiracy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ISIL militants have vowed to continue their raid towards the capital Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, Iraqi forces took control of number of towns in Salah al-Din and Diyala provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/presstv.com\/detail\/2014\/06\/14\/366971\/pgcc-equipment-found-in-isil-hideouts\/\">Press TV<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iraqi forces have found equipment made by Arab countries of the Persian Gulf in Takfiri militants\u2019 hideouts, Iraqi state TV says.
