Mohammad Reza Jafari, deputy head of the section, was addressing the closing ceremony of the international section on Tuesday night.
He noted that Pakistan was the special guest of this edition and representatives from a number of other countries, including Oman, Palestine, Bahrain, Russia, Tunisia, Malaysia, Afghanistan and Nigeria also had pavilions at the section.
Iranian Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh, who is also the head of the exhibition, was another speaker at the ceremony who hailed the presence of Quran activists from different parts of the Muslim world in this year’s edition.
He also read out a message from Culture Minister Seyed Abbas Salehi in which he hoped that in the near future, liberated Palestine will be the special guest of the Quran exhibition.
The 27th Tehran International Quran Exhibition is underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) with the motto of “Quran, Meaning of Life”. It will run until May 25.
It is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.
The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
