## On the Fact that the Earth Is Never Without a Divine Proof (Hujjah)
It is reported from **Abu Ja‘far (Imam al‑Baqir, peace be upon him)**:
“When the Qa’im rises in Mecca and intends to go toward Kufa, his caller will announce: ‘None of you should carry food or drink.’ He will carry with him the stone of Moses son of Imran, which is as heavy as a camel’s load. Whenever they stop at a place, a spring will gush forth from it. Whoever is hungry will be satisfied, and whoever is thirsty will be quenched. It will be their provision until they reach Najaf, near Kufa.”
(al‑Kafi, 1:231, hadith 3)

In **al‑Kafi**, it is narrated from **Sa‘id al‑Samman** who said:
“I was with Abu ‘Abd Allah (Imam al‑Sadiq, peace be upon him) when two men from the Zaydiyyah entered and said to him:
‘Is there among you an Imam whose obedience is obligatory?’
He replied: ‘No.’
They said: ‘Reliable people have informed us about you—that you give legal opinions and affirm this belief, and that you acknowledge it. They mentioned certain names and said that these are people of piety and diligence who do not lie.’
Imam al‑Sadiq became angry and said: ‘I did not command them to say this.’
When the two men saw the anger on his face, they left.
Then he said to me: ‘Do you know these two?’
I said: ‘Yes, they are from our marketplace. They are from the Zaydiyyah and claim that the sword of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is with ‘Abd Allah ibn al‑Hasan.’
The Imam said: ‘They have lied—may Allah curse them. By Allah, ‘Abd Allah ibn al‑Hasan has never seen it with his own eyes, nor with even one of his eyes, nor has his father seen it—unless he saw it with Ali ibn al‑Husayn (peace be upon them). If they are truthful, then what is the mark on its hilt? And what is the sign at the place where it struck?’
Then he said:
‘Indeed, with me is the sword of the Messenger of Allah. With me are his banner, his armor, his coat of mail, and his helmet. If they are truthful, then what is the sign of the armor of the Messenger of Allah?
With me is the victorious banner of the Messenger of Allah. With me are the tablets of Moses and his staff. With me is the ring of Solomon son of David (peace be upon them). With me is the basin with which Moses used to offer sacrifices. With me is the Name which, when the Messenger of Allah placed it between the Muslims and the polytheists, no arrow from the polytheists could reach the Muslims.
And with me is the equivalent of that which the angels brought.’
He continued:
‘The example of the weapon among us is like the Ark among the Children of Israel. Whenever the Ark was found at the door of a household among them, prophethood was granted to them. Likewise, whoever among us possesses the weapon is granted the Imamate.
My father wore the armor of the Messenger of Allah and it dragged along the ground. I wore it as well and it was as it was. But when our Qa’im wears it, he will fill it completely, God willing.’”
