[The Reward of Renewing Wuḍūʾ (Ablution)]
Muhammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Mājalawayh narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Yaḥyā al‑ʿAṭṭār, from Muhammad ibn Aḥmad ibn al‑Ṣaqr, from Abū Qatādah, from al‑Riḍā (peace be upon him), who said:
“Renewing wuḍūʾ for the night prayer (ʿIshāʾ) erases… No, by Allah—yes, by Allah.”
And Muhammad ibn Mūsā narrated to me; he said: ʿAlī ibn al‑Ḥusayn al‑Saʿd Ābādī narrated to me, from Aḥmad ibn Abī ʿAbd Allāh al‑Barqī, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Sinān, from al‑Mufaḍḍal ibn ʿUmar, from Abū ʿAbd Allāh (peace be upon him), who said:
“Whoever renews his wuḍūʾ without intending prayer, Allah renews his repentance without (the need for) seeking forgiveness.”
