## What Is the Motive Behind Arrogance?

This is a question whose true nature we often fail to consider. Do the powers of global arrogance carry out all these conspiracies and attempts to dominate the world on their own, or is there someone behind them driving this haughtiness?

Imam Khamenei, may his shadow endure, answers this question:

> “The Satan of arrogance has sought to spread its front to all corners of the world, into every sphere of human life and across all segments of society. By this satanic front, I mean Western materialism, which is planned by the leaders of disbelief and arrogance and is founded upon the interests of major corporations, holders of vast capital, and their greed, tyranny, and ravenous avarice.”

This is further reflected in a statement attributed to former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, which portrays the reality of boundless material greed. In one of her speeches, she said:

> “The primary objective of our government is to ensure that the economic interests of the United States extend to the global level.”

We also see this in the economic objectives pursued by arrogant powers through their occupation of countries such as oil‑rich Iraq, where publicly announced contracts awarded to American companies amounted to approximately seven billion dollars, after previous contracts had been canceled.

**In summary:**

> “American culture contradicts all expressions of democracy, aiming to create a comprehensive consumer society in which tribal, national, and even human standards disappear, leaving nothing but the consumer. Thus, U.S. policy remains tied to its dominant capability.”

## The Objectives of Global Arrogance

From what has been presented, it becomes clear that the principal objectives sought by global arrogance in its attempt to dominate the world rest upon three main fronts: **economic, political, and cultural**.

Imam Khamenei, may his shadow endure, states:

> “It has become inherent to the spirit of arrogance—indeed, this is precisely where the term arrogance truly applies—in our contemporary world to undertake an urgent movement to dominate on several fronts, essentially three: economics, politics, and culture. The movement begins from the top, like a sweeping flood descending into the valley. This flood did not begin this year or the year before; rather, it intensifies according to global circumstances.”
