We Will Not Leave the “Jihad Prisoners” Alone in Facing the Jailer
A member of the General Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Iyad Awadallah, affirmed that the Front’s prisoners will not leave the prisoners of the “Islamic Jihad” alone in confronting the repressive measures taken against them by the Israeli Prison Service administration.
Mehr News Agency reported that Awadallah said in statements to Voice of القدس Radio today, Saturday: “The battle of the Islamic Jihad prisoners is the battle of all Palestinians, and we will fight it together gradually,” noting that escalation inside the prisons is increasing day by day.
He added: “The scope of confrontation with the Israeli occupation must be expanded at all levels — ‘popular and official’ — and in all arenas, ‘local and international,’ to expose the crimes of the occupation,” explaining that widening the confrontation will help accelerate the victory of the hunger-striking prisoners in the jails.
He pointed out that the Prison Service administration will ultimately submit to the prisoners’ will, who will inevitably triumph over the fierce repressive campaign led by the administration, particularly against the “Jihad prisoners.”
