Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, in a gathering for the birth anniversary of Imam Baqir (a), expressed the importance of motivating those who do well with a show of appreciation.
His eminence stated: “Steps which are taken to gain the satisfaction of Allah and are executed in the bounds of the divine Islamic rulings are deserving of appreciation. May you be successful in your service to the people, especially the deprived and the down trodden, God willing.”
The Ayatollah expressed the importance of unity in furthering the cause of Islam. He said: “We all have one objective and that is the raising of the flag of Islam. We must remain together for the advancement towards this objective so that we can steadfastly hold on to the flag of Islam in this nation.”
In another segment of his talk, the highly respect authority in Shia Islam touched on practical steps which need to be taken in order to achieve the high objectives of the religion. He stated: “We must use all the tools, media and cyber space for the service of the religion and the propagation of knowledge of the Ahl al-Bayt (a). Our complete efforts need to be used for the promotion of the enlightening knowledge of Islam to the entire world.”
Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani finished this segment of his speech by a simple warning and call to wake up for the Muslims. His eminence concluded: “Unfortunately some of the situations being created in the world are not for the benefit of Islam or the Muslims. Everyone should be heedful that the aim of all the Muslims must be and is achieving pride and honour for Islam. If this becomes the objective then we will gain the ability to stand against the enemy.”
