Excerpts from the Will of the Martyred Leader Samir Kuntar

The Media Relations Office of Hezbollah distributed excerpts from the will of the freed dean of Lebanese prisoners, the martyred leader Samir Kuntar, who was killed in an assassination crime committed by the Zionist enemy in the town of Jaramana in the Damascus countryside three days ago, resulting in the martyrdom of 9 people and the injury of 20 others.
In his will, the martyr Samir Kuntar affirmed that the path of jihad against the Israeli entity, until its disappearance, will not stop, will not retreat, and will not deviate from its compass toward Palestine.
Below is the text of the will:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
“Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are fought because they were wronged, and indeed Allah is capable of granting them victory.”
Allah the Most High, the Almighty, has spoken the truth.
Since I chose the path of struggle and jihad in order to lift injustice from Palestine and its people, and to repel oppression and death from our people and our nation in Lebanon, I was certain that this path, which I chose with complete conviction, would end either in victory or martyrdom. And because complete victory and the removal of this Zionist entity from existence require sacrifices greater than those offered thus far, and therefore working to achieve this goal requires many additional years, martyrdom will most likely precede victory.
And because I pledged to all believers in the freedom of Palestine that I would not leave Palestine except to return to it, I insisted on continuing along this path—the path of jihad and sacrifice—through its highest form, which is armed struggle and the rifle. Allah Almighty honored me by making me one of the men of the Islamic Resistance, among brothers who undertook the responsibility of fighting with determination, rejecting compromise and retreat.
Today, Allah has honored me with this martyrdom, which I ask Him to accept. I depart with full confidence that this jihadist march will not stop, will not retreat, and will not deviate from its compass toward Palestine. For Allah has honored this Resistance with leaders who have always supplied us with confidence and faith in victory—beginning with the initiator of the contemporary Islamic awakening, Ruhollah al-Musawi al-Khomeini (may his noble soul be sanctified), and his heir in carrying the banner of truth, the Guardian of the Affairs of Muslims, Imam Khamenei (may his noble shadow endure), and our leader in the Islamic Resistance, His Eminence the Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. I thank him from the depths of my heart for the care with which he surrounded me from the moment of my release from captivity until the moment of my martyrdom. I thank him for his truthful promise by which, by the grace of Allah and through him, I was freed from captivity. I ask Allah Almighty to preserve him for this nation and for this valiant Islamic Resistance, for in this era no one can replace the character, presence, wisdom, and courage of His Eminence the Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
I ask Allah that I may have fulfilled my covenant and my promise to the martyrs of the “True Promise,” to the people of Palestine, and to the audience of the Resistance in Lebanon, which is the symbol of dignity, pride, steadfastness, and honor. And I say to all the beloved ones in this Resistance: my martyrdom, and the martyrdom of any brother on this path at the hands of the Zionist enemy, constitutes an additional impetus pushing this march forward.
This enemy imagines that by killing us it may drag the Resistance into a confrontation whose time and place it has chosen. Therefore, I affirm to all supporters of the Resistance that avenging our blood is achieved through adherence to this path, through the growth of the deterrent power possessed by the Resistance, and also through the continued elevation of our readiness that guarantees victory over this Zionist enemy in any forthcoming confrontation. Victory over this enemy is the greatest and most important revenge for all oppressed blood. The leadership of the Resistance, at its head His Eminence the Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, knows precisely when and how to respond to the enemy’s crimes, and responsibly understands how to avoid being dragged into a battle whose time and place the enemy has determined. No one should doubt the seriousness of the Resistance, nor that the blood of all resistance fighters is precious and dear, and that immediate response and retaliation occur only if they add an achievement to the Resistance’s record and spare it from being dragged into a battle whose time and place were set by the occupying enemy—who intended exactly that through this assassination.
Our blood is equal, and our leadership is wise—thus have past experiences proven. Let us always repeat the call: At your service, O Nasrallah, while our eyes look far ahead—toward achieving the greater goal, by Allah’s victory for us over our oppressive enemy.
I entrust you to Allah.
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Your brother,
Samir Kuntar
