Iran basketball B squad overcomes Indonesia in 2018 William Jones Cup

The Iran men’s national basketball B team has maintained its fine style at the 2018 William Jones Cup in Taiwan, and edged past Indonesia.

On Saturday, the Iranian sportsmen defeated the Indonesian squad 66-62 (23-19, 14-9, 13-18 and 16-17) in a match played at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium of New Taipei City.

The Iran men’s national basketball B team is scheduled to play against Ateneo Blue Eagles of the Philippines on Sunday.

The 2018 William Jones Cup started on July 14 and will conclude on July 22. The event is a top-level international basketball tournament of FIBA Asia.
